Paul to Lakers for Odom/Gasol (possibly Houston as a third team)?

Lakers have now pulled out of this deal.

Stern needs to retire. He has no credibility. NBA is a joke. The stars will be able to move as they wish however, teams like NO should be able to get decent players.

What Joe should do is to sign and trade Stuckey and add Daye or something for Paul and hope Stern nixes the Hornets refusal. I'd take a shortened season with Paul over 10 seasons with Stuckey and Daye and whatever crap needs to be added to make the salaries work out.

You want Chris Paul for 66 games? Or, do you think he would re-sign with Detroit as an unrestricted free agent next summer?

I'm going on the assumption that we already have a rookie version of Chris Paul in B-K.
We don't need Chris Paul and his bad knee.
