I guess this is pretty much what I was trying to say. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...er_friday_offerings_penn_state_scandal_111111
Mob mentality. So mobish. Joe didn't see anything but 4 years later they all saw Sandusky back on campus with a young boy.
Joe Pa was fired because he could no longer effectively lead. I don't know how Sandusky was allowed to have access to Penn State facillities as late as 2 weeks ago. The grand jury has been in session for almost 3 years since 2008 and Joe Pa and all the others testified, but still no one bothered to think that Sandusky's privilages on campus needed to be taken away? Even if Joe Pa was not aware of the 1998 PSU police report on Sandusky or if he got sketchy details in 2002, ( all which I highly doubt). Joe Pa knew what was up when he was giving his grand jury testimony and there after and still nothing was done. So I don't feel sorry for Joe Pa one bit.
I know what you're implying here but it this situation doesn't have anything to do with "gaydar". All you need to detect about this Sandusky guy is that he's a very bad person who took advantage of kids who were too weak or too young to defend themselves. If he's guilty, the guy deserves to have the same thing that he did to those kids, done to him in prison.
I've worked with victims and with the prison system a lot in different capacities in the past. I PROMISE you the inmates (and staff) DESPISE sex offenders. I used to interview ofenders in prison to help decide if they were eligible for parole. When I asked them to relay their crimes to me, they would start talking in low hushed tones. They didn't want any of the other inmates to hear them for fear of they would get beat up. I would tell them to speak up so I could hear them. If they still balked, I would tell them "fine. But you CHOSE to do the things you did. If you don't speak up you won't get paroled. A nice catch 22 for them. I loved my job. Most (not all...depending on the natures of the offense and frequency) of their crimes were very warped people with many thinking errors (like some child molesters would tell me how they were helping the kids by "teaching" them about sex" so they didn't learn it from the wrong person. Now, I'm not talking about ALL of them. Some crimes were gray areas, but the ones who destroyed little kid's childhoods or brutally raped someone...well... as far as I am concerned they can all just rot in HELL!!!!
I was watching a show about prisons and they showed a guy who was sent to the protective wing where all of the child molesters were and of course others like him. He cooked all of his own food in his cell because apparently, the inmates really take it out on the pederasts by screwing with their food backstage. Here is one thing that I don't understand. Why does Madoff go to a pampered prison? It seems to me that they should mix prisoners by length of sentence and nothing else. That way they all have the same incentives to behave.
* wouldn't he be right at home ? Cons are such pompus dirt. They kill somebody but they'er more innocent than pederist. --------------- Did any one hear the little boys cry or scream ?
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7233704/the-brutal-truth-penn-state This article is a breath of fresh air on the theatrics on ESPN's front page from the past week.
In Idaho, placement is based on gender, and the severity of crime, although behavioral problems do fit into the equation. Also programming (if eligible) determines where you go. Low security (mostly DUI, Substance Abuse,Forgery)) Medium(Everything. Murder, Sexual crimes, Drug dealers, Robbery, etc.). Maximum (actually this is more for those with constant behavioral problems or the need to be secluded for their protection). Length of sentence doesn't really influence them unless sometimes they try to "be good" if nearing parole. (Although I once had a model prisoner from Viet Nam who had committed Aggravated Assault. No other record. Guy was perfect his entire stay. Respectful. Remorseful. Well...I recommended parole. So because of that he stomped on a prison guard's head and nearly killed him because he figured if he was released we would extradite him back to Viet Nam where he would be put to death for messing up here and shaming his country...or something like that.. I couldn't believe the lawyer allowed Sandusky to speak about the case in an interview with Costas after the football game last night. Probably because he figured he has nothing to lose at this point. Anyhow, he denied everything. As usual they blame the victim (troubled kids making stuff up, etc). I'm assuming that he will ask for a jury (juries are idiots, believe me...worked as a prosecutor too) but I am pretty confident they will get this one right. Due to all of the publicity on the case, he won't be placed in the general population. If somebody asks you if you were sexually abused as a child there are only two certain answers: 1. Yes 2. I don't know.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...er_friday_offerings_penn_state_scandal_111111 This i found to be pompous. * http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7233704/the-brutal-truth-penn-state This a lot more exact.
It may have cut his life a little shorter, but he was way old and his body was beat up pretty bad, anyhow. It wouldn't have been long either way.
Last couple of days in sports: LeBron gets his trophy and my fantasy team is getting rocked. The bastard is found guilty on 45 counts. When I weigh the good and the bad... the good overwhelmingly outweighs the bad!!
