PF.com Fantasy Baseball 2008

Well, my team last year was called "Ggazoo's Steroid Users." I changed my name this season to throw the feds off the trail.

Despite what Darth has been telling you, you do know that it isn't a real dance, right?

Congrats to Roscoe for eliminating me this week. With Tom Brady going down today, I think my fantasy teams are simply jinxed....

Seriously though, nice comeback.

Bill you took a tough loss with Brady and Burleson is hurt too.

I lost Barber, but I'm hoping his ribs are just bruised rather than broken.

So much of fantasy sports is luck...

I wanted to avoid Bill's kid's team at all costs. He's a terrible match up for me and really his season numbers make him a lot better than where he ended up. I knew I was going to be in some deep trouble this week.

Anyhow, on Monday my pitcher came within a couple of strikes of a complete game but couldn't do it. I thought then that was going to come back and bite me later and I still think so.

Regardless, through some quirk in the schedule, my players play a lot more games than Bill Jr. this week, but he's still somehow managing to kick my butt. Kudos.

Four out of my 9 position players were hurt yesterday. Luckily, my baseball team is only playing for 5th place.

I had 4 or 5 football players hurt last week, too. Perhaps athletes should beware of my fantasy teams...

You should go into business. Make the owners of the real teams pay you NOT to draft (curse) their players. I'm sure those injuries are killing them too!

Seriously though, I know it totally sucks. I remember Slippy getting killed like this with injuries in basketball before, but it's crazy. I've been hit before, but not as bad as that. I was able to scratch and claw and finish respectably, but my season was shot.

Looks like 1 vs. 2 for all the marbles. That's how it should be. Congrats to Jammer and Darth. Good luck.

Thanks Green guy. I know I was truly lucky to squeeze in there because the league is so competitive.

As far as playing Jammer, I've got nothing but respect for him as a person and fantasy manager. So while I would like nothing more than to pummel his team's butt into the ground, I would be proud to display the silver too.

OK, that's the last nice thing I'm going to say about the popsicle man.

Baseball thoughts:

1. What the heck? Bill's kid has an incredible batting week against me...had like 80 hits and flirted with .500 ALL week. It's a small miracle I edged past him (Thank you pitching).

So he plays Roscoe this week and yesterday goes 1 for 22 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean, WTF? Today he is 1 for 5 so far. I'm starting to get a complex...


2. Sparky Anderson always said that there was a lot of pressure in the league championship series, but none in the World Series. Just have fun

So Jammer is kicking my butt early (still very early), but honestly, I'm really just happy to have made it this far no matter the end results.

Jammer, what happened to that crap pitching you had last week???

I'd just like to send out a big "Thanks" to all those that sent me congratulatory messages on my succesful taking of the 5th Place Championship last week.

After reading so many folks telling me that making the semi finals is failure... I didn't think we should say nice job to anybody but the Champion

Talk about selfish. Johnny Damon left the team Thursday to be with his wife, who just had a baby.

What about my needs Johnny? I'm kind of in the middle of the Championships here buddy. Man, some people.

Speaking of Championship, this isn't one of those 2 week ones is it? I hate those (and not just because I'm kicking your butt either).
