More info on the format please. I might be interested depending on the configuration. This gives me an opportunity to get to know my Tigers better, should I join. If its roto style format, most likely I'm out as it requires more time swapping out pitchers than I would like. (If memory serves me correctly) Fantasy baseball was the first fantasy game I've ever participated in and it has been years since I've played.

Okay, I was too lazy to read apparently.

    Weekly format?

I'm in, if you still got room.

Yup, we got room. I'll step up recruitment next week to fill out the league.

Are you going to start one of those ESPN or Yahoo type leagues or is someone going to run this in-house? My son (13 years old) and I are looking to join a fun league, but he wants to join one with a live draft.

Bill, will you and your son be playing separate teams, or a father/son franchise?

I'm trying to make sure we end up with an even # of team owners.

Here is the list so far...

Head to head. Rotisserie is not much fun from my experience.

Separate teams gives us an even #. I'll see if anyone else wants in.

Bill, you got PM in 1 min.

Count me in. I have never played before but it can't be much different than other Fantasy sports games.

I have to work late on Saturday night, but I can be home by 6:30 or 7:00 pm eastern time on Sunday. If that isn't convenient for everyone I can just let the computer draft for me. I'll kick all your butts anyhow.

Any chance you can give us some draft hints or direct us to some?

Like... are pitchers (and relievers, maybe) the equivelant of goalies? i have no clue who or what positions to draft.

Either time is fine with me. I have no social life.

    You set a batting/fielding lineup

    C
    DH
    OF
    OF
    CF
    1B
    2B
    3B
    SS

    etc

and then you have the pitchers which are specialists just like goalies.

    Starting P
    Starting P
    Pitcher (can be either class)
    Pitcher (can be either class)
    Reliever
    Reliever

That's just from my bad memory from last year. The actual # of positions may vary.

Batters compete for Batting average, Home runs, stolen bases, hits, runs, slugging %?

Pitchers compete for Shutouts, ERA, Wins Saves

Again, once I establish the league, I will post more info. Need that draft date. Sunday night at 7:30 EDT is looking good

The Sunday time is O.K. with me.

Why Tater bothers to draft, I don't know. He never ends up with whom he started anyway. He had 74 moves in hockey, he'll probably have 200 in baseball. Real indecisive guy.:stirthepot:

How many total on a team. 26 like the majors???

This is going to be a real crap-shoot.
