    Too quiet in here.:stirthepot:

4 weeks to go after today.

Ok, I've got a first place bye all but guaranteed. Will I get knocked off in the playoffs? Hmmm. Anything can happen in a given week.

Laimbs is still hanging on to that second bye spot. Either way he makes the playoffs. But Webz is heating up and Roscoe is within striking distance of him too.

Bezeach puts up impressive batting totals and Jammer is always in the mix. Either of those guys can catch Laimbs too, but it will be very tough.

Baseballers is playing well this week but has cooled off considerably the last couple months. He probably is too far away to get a bye with all the ground he needs to make up and with so many teams to pass, but he can easily get a playoff spot.

Gazoo has made a valiant come back attempt, but like Winless and Woody he will miss the playoffs.

    So...

    one bye spot gone

the other up for grabs between 5 teams

5 teams fighting for the 4 non bye spots.

Personally...I'm glad Gazoo and Woody are missing the playoffs. Those guys give me the toughest battles. Go figure!

The teams that worry me the most are Laimbeer (good pitching and always plays me tough) and Bezeach (I'm telling you his numbers don't jive with his record, and I don't want to run into him if I can avoid him even though I've done extremely well in our previous two meetings).

Then again...the stone that most often trips you is the one you don't see.

Well...back to laundry. Hopefully, I stirred things up in here!

My team is basically out of gas. I tried to make a good run, but the last few weeks I have gotten pounded and it has cost me big. I think my team suffered from the start with Carpenter going down and with Howard getting off to the very slow start. I tried to make a few deals that seem to work at first but injuries reared their ugly head once again. Oh well I am still going to try to get to the 6 th spot, but i don't see it happening.

    What a great week.

I'm up 8-2 on William Laimbeer-San and up 9-1 in my other league.

Thanks to the absolute hiding that Baseballers is putting on Webz, I might be able to sneak into 2nd place.

Bill, you need to tune up that squad. I'm beating you without 2 of my big bats (Soriano and Ramirez). If I had those guys, it would be really ugly.

Both our teams STINK this week. It's a battle of futility. I'm counting on Verlander tonight.

Gallardo and some scrub reliever I picked up were horrendous and killed my pitching. My batting has been weak too, but those are the breaks.

One nice stat...you have 5 saves already this week. Other than that...we pretty much suck.

These last 4 weeks of the regular season and first round of the playoffs are pretty much meaningless to me. I always want to win , of course, but I've pretty much clinched a first place bye so the only thing that affects the ship for me are the second week (and third and final week if I win the 2nd) of the playoffs.:):stirthepot::MusicBigGrin::gun1:

So sorry to burst your bubble Roscoe old chap. You play ME next week. Our previous meetings ended up 8-1 and 8-2 in MY favor. :shootingsoldier::canada:

    Hey...third place ain't so bad...for YOU. :pound::pound::pound:

Oh yeah...Barry Bonds =Tom Poti = Ryan Zimmerman. Just ask me, Woody, or Laimbs. He can't help you against the Empire.

Wow, congrats Roscoe on the fine week. Your team must be playing really well. I haven't had a chance to look at the final scoreboard. Did you end up beating me 8-2? Again, big props go out to your squad!!

Thanks for recognizing my squad as mighty. I started off the first 3 or 4 weeks in bad shape, but things are looking up. Hopefully we play each other in the playoffs.

Roscoe...I was worried about you when I saw your batters only outnumbered my team 8 guys to 1, but then I realized one of your dudes plays a double header so you should be able to keep it pretty close until Tuesday.:pound::gun1::gun1:

Darth, you are losing 9-0 to Roscoe. Perhaps your team needs a "tune-up". :pound:

And he lost 6-4 to the lowly Ggazoo Steroid Users last week. Is DT running out of steam?

No way. Simply refueling. I only had one guy play against Roscoe's full lineup last night. My guys are good but not THAT good. Besides, my guys know to take it easy these last few weeks and get ready for the playoffs.

By the way, did you notice the little star by my name? I.E. Playoff berth clinched with 3 weeks still to go.

Props to your boys for beating me Green man. Maybe the momentum will carry over to the consolation bracket for you.:boink:

The consolation bracket is no consolation for me. I won't even bother to keep up with that.

Gazoo, perhaps Borowski will have a better night tomorrow and get his ERA under 100 for the week....:pound:

I never thought I would say this, but beating you has become passe.

I'll see you in the playoffs.

Darth is powered exclusively by hot air.

I hope you enjoy your regular season championship. Flip Tater.
