I love Roy Halladay. He has gone 9 innings in FOUR straight starts! Unfortunately, 2 of those games went into extra innings, including tonights, so he didn't get credit for a CG or a W. :frusty::frusty:

I don't think you'll need the win or the CG. I'm pretty sure you'll take those categories anyhow. You'll probably get all the pitching cats except maybe not saves.

It's the hitting cats you need to worry about as the Phillies are hitting the ball pretty well these days.

Plus you need some help from winless against Bill's offspring.

Note: Bill, do you plan to break your kids heart by knocking him off in the playoffs if you meet? (Which it appears you may).

My team is sandbagging right now. Hopefully, it can "flip the switch" come playoff time.

You guys better continue sandbagging for sunday as well cos bezeach is coming home strong.

I'm currently in new york travelling through the US. I went to a Yankees game last night, my first baseball action.

I got to see 2 of my fantasy studs in action; A-Rod and Phil hughes, although Hughes didn't have a good night. In fact, the Yankees sucked!!

Still it was a great experience.

Going to be in Philly next week, hopefully the boys are in town and I'll get to see Darth's team as well perhaps.

They are out of town early in the week, but come home for a weekend series starting Friday the 7th.

Wow. It sure is fun watching all the teams jockeying for playoff positions and the final bye spot.:dizzy2::pop2:

I've said it before but it's been a very competitive season with a great group of guys. I really enjoyed it.

I know my team broke free from the pack, but I have no expectations for the playoffs because we are all even once it begins. Lots of great teams in there and anyone can win.

Good luck to everyone in both playoff brackets and over the next couple of days.

By the way, we will be starting our hockey league sign ups in here in the near future and I hope those of you that played last year return. I also hope you guys who didn't play last year join us.

Well...it might not be as much fun because Roscoe will probably make us let him join too, but we can find ways to enjoy ourselves anyhow.:pound::gun1::canada:

I just calculated all the stats from the top 6 teams and found who plays who in the 1st week of the playoffs (there is still one game currently being played but it doesn't effect anyone/any stats that are close... The winning percentages might not be exact, but very very accurate (to at least the thousandths place) So...
    1. Darth's Phillies
    2. Webz save-vultures, .5417%
    3. BezeachBombers, .5246%
    4. Bill Laimbeer, .5208%
    5. Sandwich Microwaves, .5189%
    6. Baseballers, .5152%

    So, the matchups:
    BYE: Darth's Phillies
    BYE: Webz save-vultures
    BezeachBombers vs. Baseballers
    Bill Laimbeer vs. Sandwich Microwaves

I think Microwaves ended up 6th, not 5th.

Strangely, I clinched first overall in my other league. I simply have that many better players.

Of course, in the PF league, I get Soriano back, which may have been the difference if I had played him this week.

Any finish over my regular season finish (6th overall) will be a plus.

I've never won one of these darn things, but it is fun playing.

Yeah, 5th is too high for Roscoe.:pound:

I'm hoping little lambs knocks off poppa. I always play crappy against Big Bill. Not sure if it's the matchups or just chance. I was kinda hoping to draw Roscoe in my bracket. We are in a lot of leagues together but we never meet in the post season...maybe because he always misses the playoffs?:wedgie:

The match with Roscoe and Bezeach should be a good one. I've felt all year that Bezeach's numbers are worthy of a better record than he shows.

Webz is coming on strong and left no questions in grabbing the remaining bye. He plays the winner of Roscoe/Bezeach.

In the consolation bracket we have Jammer vs. Winless and Woody vs. Gazoo.

Both of our numbers are terrible for the first day. Horrible pitching and hitting...

Pretty good battle at the 4-5 quarterfinal with Laimbeer and Laimbeer Jr.

I hope there will be no silence or hurt feelings at the Laimbeer dinner table when this one is all over.

No doubt there will be some animosity lingering for years to come over this matchup. My use of 6 starters and 1 closer appears to be sound so far, but there is a lot of baseball left to be played.

I wonder what happens if we end up tied. Perhaps we both advance and Darth is eliminated....

:pound:...I think the tie breaker is runs scored...or possibly hits.

I'm pretty sure pops is gonna win because it's our destiny to meet. :fight2:

So much for dominating the regular season. If I didn't have a bye this week, I'd be hit.

The Phillies are playing lousy and my pitching staff has been plagued with injuries. Goodbye Bedard , Hamels, and Lincecum.

    Goodbye championship????:yellowprison:

I'm crossing my fingers and my toes that I can pull this one out with Bezeach. I'm up 8-2 or 8-3, but the margins I am ahead by are tiny. This one will go down to the wire.

Man, if I had played Soriano over Bradley, I would be killing this thing!

Go little Lambs. Go! Go! Go! :fingerscr:whoo:

I know I should be careful what I wish for, but I think I have better luck against him and right now, my team isn't clicking on all cylinders.

    Fun day...football & baseball.

Oh, good luck to both Roscoe & Bezeach today too.

    Predictions...baseball

Bill wins (on a tiebreaker) and Roscoe holds off Bezeach. (Roscoe, you better cross all TWELVE of your toes).

    Football prediction...my team SUX!!! :pound:
