Just trying to figure out how many of each position I need to draft.

For pitchers, the roster spots are 2x SP, 2x RP and 3x P.

What are the 3x P? Are they like the Utility spot for pitchers, you can throw either SP or RP in there? :sssh:

Are you effectively having 7 pitchers per week?

This is what I finished with last year.

Although my third relief pitcher as an experiment and I carried 7 SP/ 2 RP most of the year.

There are a LOT of multi-position players, but for the most part, the BEST always play at their one position.

Mo isn't in, but we are a 12th short anyways. I meant to PM him today but I have been busy. Will do now.

    THIS IS A REMINDER!!!

The draft is scheduled for Friday night @ 7:00 PM EDT.

Make sure you test your browser (on our league homepage there is a link) to be sure you are compatible with the java drafting system.

I do NOT recommend drafting in Firefox. You are best to draft in Internet Explorer from my experiences.

Oh yeah? Did you ever buy any Firefox stickers from the mozilla online store and stick them on your bike, which model name was also called firefox?

    Didn't think so...

I'm geeked for the draft even though I'll only be there in spirit. (Maybe I can sneak a short peek).

Hopefully I get a couple of guys I really want (based on team...not necessarily talent).:juggle:

Who is your team Darth? The tubesox?

The live draft is the highlight of the season. I would be happy with a system of live draft, play for 6 weeks then do the whole thing over again.

Then you get to have a live draft about 6 times a year. Hmm... idea!

    LOL.

I'll leave a little suspense on my favorite team for the draft. You guys will be like "WTF...that idiot drafted player "X" in the 3rd round and he is ranked #278"!

Really, I'm hoping the computer picks a competitive team for me, but I did show some bias toward my favorite team. Doesn't mean it will affect my first few picks too much...or maybe it will. ;)

I really do well in my rookie years (basketball and football...we will see if I can win hockey). But once I "know what I am doing" I totally STINK!:nerd2:

Dude, that'll be me! I'll probably draft some guy who isn't even playing this year. All I've got to go on is last years stats, i have no idea about inter-team moving and changing.

If you got the computer picking for you it shouldn't be too bad, although I remember there were some terrible pre-rankings in the nba this season. rdang auto-drafted matt bonner in the 7th round or something all because of yahoo's pre-rankings. :pound:

Huh? What? Matt Bonner? Doesn't he play baseball. I thought he was like Danny Ainge. I was going to use him in both my leagues. Damn. Now I gotta get a new guy to pick in the 2nd round!

Hey Roscoe...or anyone...any injuries you guys know of. I don't want to draft some guy who can't even play.

A draft by you is unnecessary. At the rate you swap out players, your draft is irrelevant. With a 20 player team, I figure your over/under on free agents will be 20+ BEFORE the season begins. Don't worry what the computer does, with you it doesn't really matter!!!:nerd2::stirthepot::pound::pound:

I am totally unprepared for this draft. I have done zero scouting.

I will probably go with default ranks and maybe move up some guys I like and down some guys I don't during the draft.

I will see you guys at 7:00.
