Damn you Roscoe!!!!! LOL.... Just Kidding... Congrats on getting the 6th and final playoff spot. Good Luck.
WHO IS YOUR DADDY NOW? From 7th (6th on tiebreak) to the Championship round. If I was playing Laimbeer, I would be up 7-2 based on this week's #s. Let's get ready to rumble!
Roscoe, your team peaked a week too early. You made a nice run, though. Meanwhile, Slippy is gaining ground on me. If he can get two 3-pointers and 4 rebounds out of Kevin Martin in the final quarter of the Kings-Suns game, he will overtake me.
I am less scared of slippy. I already told you, he has the skills of a ninja but the heart of a teddy bear.
I've flopped in all of my other leagues, so this is the one. I really worked hard this season to recover from a poor draft. At one point, I was the bottom place team in the league, but a series of 5-4 weeks got me moving towards .500 I really hope this is the week I peak, although last week's stats would have been good enough to win the title. @webz, thank you so much for the keeper league. It is really fantastic. I only hope we can get another bid draft going instead of a snake draft for FAs. That draft was the most fun I have ever had in fantasy, even though I didn't do particularly well.
same here, the bid draft was just awesome. I could do that over and over again. When it was over I felt like "hey, that was fun, one more time!"
If it can be worked properly I'm all for another Auction draft. But there has to be some kind of parity in place for the bottom teams. At the moment it's set up so the bottom teams from last year get the better draft picks, so for this to work for an auction you'd have to find some equivalent. An idea I've had is that the bottom teams get more money to spend in the Auction, however I don't know if this is possible. I'll have to try and find out. ie. Champion gets $150 to spend in the next years draft. 2nd - $160 3rd - $170 4th - $180 etc. I'll create a thread in the off-season so people can put forth any ideas they have for making the league better.
I think the snake-order draft makes the most sense for year 2 of this league. The auction draft was incredibly fun, but I'm not sure if you want to do it in the middle of a Keeper League. Maybe we could do an auction draft for another league. Just my 2 cents.
I'd like to see Rodney practice his jumper throughout the rest of the week, tossing up a good 15-20 shots per game would be nice.
Man this thing is close. I think I was down 3-6 at one point yesterday. Bill has more games being played than me, but if I can win both of the % categories, I like my chances. I gambled on quality over quantity.
I also wanted to float out there, that I have a lot of good young bigs, and since it is a lock I will keep LeBron and only two more guys, that means I will be dumping a lot of good players in the offseason. If you want to work out a trade, I would do a 2 bigs for one high quality small because my guards suck. I'm looking for an elite PG or combo guard, preferably a younger guy, but I will look at someone a little older as well. I'll also make a trade to exchange draft picks. I don't know (off the top of my head) if the draft order is based on season + playoffs, or just season, but either way, I am always interested in moving up in the first and third rounds.
Picks are based on Playoff finish. The League home page has the current order with 4 picks still to be decided. I'll post the complete list once the Playoffs are over. I like the enthusiasm but you won't be able to begin trading until the off-season trading period begins on August 1. The next important date on the calendar is April 16. We don't carry an IR in the off-season so this position needs to be cleared by this date. So if you have an injured star sitting there and you are thinking about keeping him, get him outta there ASAP!
