Dre, please confirm whether you still want to play. We have space in the league if you still want in. Confirmed so far: webz ralphi bball jay laimbeer winless linwood roscoe slippy max warthog that's 10. waiting for confirmation from dre and a couple of other past members. if i don't hear anything by the weekend, we'll add people from the waiting list. waiting list: wolfpack marad
From now on, if people want to play, they have to be registered on the forum so they can participate in league discussions and stay updated on info. So your friend is always welcome to join us in fantasy leagues, just get him/her to register please.
webz, none of us seem to have a lot of free time, but I am happy to help if you need anything. Starting next week, I should have a little more time.
He's registered. I'm working on getting him to post. These things take time. Commitment to a forum and fantasy league are no summer romance.
Webz, I agree to sell my franchise to one of the guys (where's Kimmie?) on the waiting list for one smiley face...no use my teams dominating 2 leagues
Slippy and I have discussed this further, and the Keeper league should be for forum regulars, people we can count on running a franchise from year to year. In this regard, your friend could certainly play in novice, advanced etc but keeper really should be for the people who are "part of the family". I hope that's cool with you.
That's certainly fine with me. I was hoping that the keeper league may encourage my friend to become "part of the family".
After some considerations, we have decided to go with a 10 team League for the first season. Sorry to the new guys who showed interest, but this league will be designed for long-time forum members. If you guys hang around and participate in the forum and get yourselves in on the Novice league this year you can become eligible down the track. As it is only 10 teams, there will be room for expansion teams in the future should anyone decide they would like to join in year 2. I have written up the League Rules which will be emailed to the Owners in the next couple of days. For now, here are the main ones: League Type: Weekly Teams: 10 Scoring Type: Head to Head (Each category) Stat Categories: Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, 3PM, FG%, FT%, TO Roster: 15 - PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, Util, B, B, B, B, B, B, IR Keepers: 3 MAX and LINWOOD, we are only waiting on you guys to sign up. Please do so ASAP!
I need at least 1 more in Novice, and I will take 3 if people from this league are looking for a home to play in.
I'm sorry mate, but as mentioned above this is being run for long-time forum contributors at present. Hang around for a while and you may get a spot in the future. If you aren't already in the Novice league, you should check that out.
I have now posted the Keeper League Rules on the ESPN league homepage. You will find them under the 'Message Board' link. Sign In - ESPN Fantasy Basketball 2009 There is quite a lot of information contained but please read them and make sure you understand them. If you would like a copy of the rules in Word form let me know and I'll email them to you. Also, if you have questions about the rules or require clarification, please post on the Message Board in the 'Questions about the Rules' thread. Thank you!
No, the the original test league that everyone is currently signed up to has been updated for the correct settings. Just easier this way. If you haven't been to this League homepage for a while I urge everyone to go check it out asap.
No probs, I tried to think of every possible scenario and cover that in the rules but I'm sure something will come up. Any feedback is appreciated if you notice something awry or could be improved.
