Yeah nice review. It chronicles how I did a bad job with my lineup and Slippy beat the snot out of me.
the DTD thing is treacherous. sometimes they say precautionary and boom out 2 weeks. sometimes a guy gets his arm lopped off and they sew it back on and he's good to go on a 2nd game in a back to back series. I went a little conservative. I am getting some nice play from my cheaper guys. With a shallow league though, a few FA moves could change the league.
i might have a rough week...i think i have the better team, but most of my guys only play 3 times this week, while the malcontents mostly play 4
It was not that I forgot to set my lineups. I had realized at the time that it was on a weekly basis.
If anyone would like to do a Weekly review you are all more than welcome. Just let me know beforehand so we don't end up with 2 reviews for the same week.
I've made the league public so you can have a look. You'll be able to see the league home page, standings, draft recap, trophy cabinet, etc, but unfortunately you won't be able to see some special areas which includes member details and the Message Board where the reviews are placed. I have a ridiculous name and ridiculously good players. I forgot to do my lineup on sunday so I left some firepower on the bench so coaching is my biggest weakness. I thought I'd be in the dumpster looking at next year but Rose and Mayo have been hot hot hot. .
Rose may end up a Keeper for you if he keeps it up. I still haven't had my 2 best draft picks play yet. Deron Williams out injured and only returned last night and Baron Davis who has been DTD, finally became healthy enough to start this week but is only playing 2 games so I left him on the bench!
I had my eye on Mayo. I was so foolish paying so much for LBJ, when I could have had a stable of young studs at the end of the draft. But live and learn...
It was nice picking up nice cheap talent near the end of the draft because everyone was near broke and couldn't I bid me. LOL I might actually cut KG at the end of the season. I never thought I would say that.
Perhaps trading him at some point during the season will make more sense for you. It's like the Nuggets dumping AI knowing they're going to lose him at the end of the year anyway. By trading, they get something in return (versus letting him walk away for nothing).
That is a very good idea. I need to start thinking in terms of this being a franchise and like having an expiring contract. Perhaps I can trade him later in the year to a basement dwelling team that could use his services.
