PF.COM NBA Mock Draft

OK, here is my idea. The members at pf.com hold our own NBA Mock draft.

There are 30 teams, so there will be 30 first round picks (some teams have more than one and some have none).

Anyone interested signs up here. If I get enough interest, I'll throw the names in a hat and assign numbers accordingly. Best case, I get 30 interested people. But if I get ten, I'll do three rounds.

Example: Jammer is one of ten people signing up. His name gets picked #7, #12, and #25. (I'll do it so that each name gets picked once before getting thrown in the hat again.

Anyhow, thats my idea. I figure we can do a tad of research on a teams needs (or look at a couple other mock drafts) when we find out whose pick we have. Of course, we cannot account for trades on draft day.

Our draft will probably take up to a week but it sounds like fun. So sign up here.

Oh yeah, I didn't ask Roscoe about this, but he'll like it, and if not I'll blame Linwood.

Also, I put this in this section because I thought if I put it in the games section some people may not look.

Hey, do you guys want me to make Oden and Durant automatic #1 &#2 or and start assigning with the third pick, or should I not assume everyone will put them there and let the chips fall where they may?

Everyone who is in will have their name thrown in a hat. There are 30 slots available, but if we only get ten people everyone gets picked 3 times. 15 people, everyone twice.

Lets say we have ten people and your name is pulled first. You get to choose who Portland picks. Your name doesnt go back in the hat until all names are drawn each round. So lets say slippy is 10th. After I draw his name, I throw everyone back in for picks 11-20. Then repeat for 21-30. All names will be drawn in advance.

Does that make sense.? It's ok if we get an odd amount of people. If we get say...17 people, then 17 people will get at least one pick and 13 of those same 17 will get an extra choice to be used on picks 18-30.

I guess people should pick based on who they actually tihnk a team will take based on the teams needs, but you are the GM's so it's your call.
