We should keep track of standings on how people are doing in their win/loss predictions....although some wise guys like to make "predictions" after the game.
Funny.........Rascoe had made two threads initially for the Chicago game. In one thread, I predicted a Bulls victory. In the other, a Pistons victory. He eliminated the one thread where I predicted the Bulls...........A very Rascoe thing to do.
This is their home opener but the Pistons have been playing well so homer call here Pistons win 91-88
Looks like it's too late to vote, but I would have to pick Philly. Rodney might be out with a groin pull....although frozen bananas can work miracles.
If that backcourt outscore their combined BMI we might win. That is if our frontcourt provide some serious scoring.
Ugly end to that game. First off..No, Lawrence, you don't pull BK for Bynum in the 4th. The idea is to let the guy play through it. Bynum didn't exactly deserve it anyway. Decent start, keeping things close enough for the most part with Moose getting it going early. Monroe is awesome. He needs a lot of help though. Quiet game for JJ. Always hustled though, getting to loose balls and playing decent defense. Brandon started off well, quick bucket and assist, going to coast to coast once. His jumpers are still not falling, though it was nice to see him drive the lane a few times. Can't buy a call though. Went down with an ankle sprain late in the second, but looked none the worse for wear. Funny moment: Sixer announcer says Knight has been bottled up by the Sixer D. Goes on to dribble into the lane and score within the same second. Way to go Mr. Announcer. And no, he is NOT Brevin Knight's brother. Austin looks really, really tentative. I lost count of how many open shots he passed up only to pump fake and go for a worse shot. Seems to have been watching too much Tayshaun. Also went down with a sprain at the end of the second, also looked fine after. BG should be back for the next game, so his starting days are all but over for now. Tayshaun, pass the ball man. You have to make decisions faster than that! Greg Monroe was the star of this game, just like the previous four. He was the Pistons' only source of offense for pretty much the whole game, had a great play where he stole the ball and ran it up court for a score by himself. Awesome. He did look frustrated at times though, and I can't blame him for that, this was a frustrating game. Mentioned this in chat: Bynum's defense sucks. It's so bad it's contagious. How many times are you going to leave a shooter open from beyond the arc?! Sixers started to blow it open on Meeks 3's. Left open by Will 'I gotta get mine' Bynum. humph. Pistons hung in there for the first three quarters, but can't buy a bucket, even from point blank range. Everyone was cold outside of Greg, again. The effort just fell off the cliff at the end there, and combined with stagnant offense = blowout. Frustrating, painful game. This team needs a reliable 3 not named Tayshaun. No, Wilkins doesn't count. Solid guy, but not what the team needs for the future.
