Although we will be possibly in a middle of a tank ourselves, on March 29th....this could be a record setting game as the tanking stinking streaking Sixers will have the opportunity to set a new NBA record of 27 consecutive losses if they continue their losing streak with losses in the 5 games prior to matching up with Pistons.

That's right folks we can help them set the new record of 27 losses or be the trivia butt of jokes as being the team that lost to them to stop them from setting a new record. If we are tanking....I say play to win tonight fellas...

I only bringing it to everyone's attention now because the schedule is setup for a record setting night in the NBA on 3.29.2014 and the Pistons will possibly part of history.

    March 19th Bulls
    March 21st Knicks
    March 22nd @Bulls
    March 24th @ Spurs
    March 27th @ Rockets
    March 29th Pistons

Sad to think that a game involving tanking could
bring the most ever participants to the chat room.

    I'll be there...:)

The Sixers best bet to get a win is vs the Knicks game on Friday...If they lose that one, I don't see them beating the Bulls, Spurs or Rockets on the road. So the Pistons will be the team that either extends the losing streak to the record loss, or we get beaten and the streak ends....

Well the Sixers loss their 24th game in a row last night and with Spurs on Monday and the Rockets on Thursday looming as losses, the odds makers are saying that there is a 59% chance that they will set a new record of 27 when they host the Pistons on Saturday night.

There are things that could prevent this record setting dubious accomplishment. The Pistons have lost 13 roag games in row. If they lose tomorrow to the Jazz. ..the road issues could continue on to next Saturday. Also this is the second game of a back to back so our chances of winning could be diminished. ...unless they play part of Fridays game with those Bad Boys that show up for the celebration.

Maybe Joe D will sign Isaiah, Laims, and Mahorn to 10-day contract while they are in town.

Is there going to be any way for out of towners to see the Bad Boys halftime celebration? If I was there, I'd have a ticket for sure.

I would imagine that it would get shown on Fox Sports Detroit.

As long as Mateen Cleaves and the Fox halftime team don't come on and talk about the first half, they should show it. It probably should be available on the Pistons website as a video later.

I agree that the FSD halftime show will cover the ceremony. I hope so, at least.

The Pistons Live pre-game and post-game shows will probably cover some of it, as well:

    Fox Sports Detroit
    7:00-7:30 Pistons Live pre-game
    7:30-10:00 Pistons vs. Heat
    10:00-11:00 Pistons Live post-game

The Bad Boys celebration is on Friday, by the way....probably should discuss this in another thread. :)

The stage is set ...the Sixers have tied the record. Either we help them set a new record or as HQ says we allow them to hang around and Allen Iverson beats us on a last second jumper. Yep don't be surprised if sixers sign AI to a 10 day contact to avoid setting the new record. :bs:
