When you say "play", you really just mean take the field wearing their uniforms?
http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/11289/a-requiem-for-the-dream-team-from-philly A very detailed look at the Eagles season. Bill Barnwell really delivered the goods on this one.
Thanks, C.J. Insightful. That really hurts. Now it sounds like next year may be a mess too.
I've been reading and hearing a lot about DeSean Jackson lately. How he isn't trying and is upset over his contract status. To me...he's in the same position as Suh. I feel it's up to the coach to manage the players on his team. If Jackson isn't trying, then Reid needs to talk to him, or bench him. For Reid to come out and say that his guy is trying after the last game is just silly...unless he is able to motivate him back into playing much better. The article was very good, but Eagles fans kinda already suspected much of that stuff. Makes for a tough read when you see such a long laundry list like that. I just hope that Michael Vick is able to bounce back in a better way next season...
Well...the Eagles take to the road this week to play the resurgent Miami Dolphins. Statistically...the Defenses surrender about the same amount of yards for the season... On offense, the Eagles gather in about 100 yards more per game that do the Dolphins. Yet at the picks...Almost 80% are going with the Dolphins. I don't think anybody knows what team will show up for the Eagles this week. They should win...but will they...
Have they quit? It sure seems like it. We will find out exactly what happeed after the season, although I think we have a pretty good idea what a lot of the problems are. Well, I hope at least the Lions get back to winning some football games. This season has pretty much sucked so far. What's next? Cowpunks go to the Super Bowl???
Just rude and uncalled for. To add insult to injury the writer says she kind of had it coming for wearing his jersey to the game. WTF??? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...=AkIoyigqnjmipDQpvXzjtRE5nYcB?urn=nfl-wp13514
Another game. Sigh. Time to fly the Eagle's flag. At least my next door neighbor flies a Rams flag. So it lessens my humiliation. But I'm an old pro at being embarrassed by football teams. The owner and management tried their best to put together a great team. The Eagles never had time to get everyone on the same page due to the lockout. Plus everything in the December 2nd post by Coyne Jeremy. I love my Eagles. But what a tough year it's been after all those high expectations. But the Kool-Aid was the best I've ever tasted. GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to the Detroit Lions who actually DO play a meaningful game today!
A win is a win, eager to check the game to-night on screen.
Eagles win...but the numbers look scary......... McCoy rushes 27 times for ............38 yards.... Vick has a QB rating below 70........... Total offensive output was like 230 yards........... The offense is supposed to be the strength of this team. At 5-8........with those kind of numbers, they not scarin anybody anymore. That whole division this season has tasted a lot of bad football..................
The Eagles lost quite a few games this season with very impressive offensive statistics. I'll take the win. Any way it comes.
I actually kind of like the Eagles mouth piece now. I definitely have a man crush on the play by play guy, Merril Reese, for their games. This guy is real and always very interesting, IMO. He somehow reminds me in appearance and voice of Howard Cosell without the pompous Jackass part. At the end of the interview he discusses the playoff scenarios and talks about the Lions quite a bit. Now...I did realize last week that I should NOT be rooting for Detroit, but how can i root against them making the playoffs. Maybe it is because in all probability the Eagles are dead anyhow. If it came down to the final game...I'm ALL Eagles. I'm also wondering if I like the Eagles again in the Picks Game? http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/m...ll-Reese/c88b0afc-cba1-4b0b-9fbc-e47563f729e0 Also, here is an interview with Rex Ryan. How can you not find him a loveable character? Even his brother, Rob, a Cowboys coach, is a clown. Well, if you have the time and the inclination, listen to these interviews. I mean...you guys are (A) Lurking around the forum even though there hasn't been any basketball, and (B) you are reading a Philadelphia Eagles Thread. So you must have LOTS of time on your hands. You guys are loveable clowns too. Can somebody please tell me why in the Hell we have a Llama smiley? That is very Idahoish. If i didn't know how busy he always is, I would think Rascoe has too much time on his hands too.
I was passing a llama farm and one of the llamas had its fur cut up his neck and head, and I didn't know what it was. I thought it was something from outer space ! * That was some wicked cool-aid.
What if they win all the remain games ? Teams had done that, could it be the Eagles?
8-8 won't get it Bro
In all likelihood, you're right. It won't. But for now, it's all they've got...
I understand why Andy Reid is Big Bird. But why is Michael Vick Kermit the frog? (It's not easy being green?)" http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/sh...=Ai4.34mm5KeXatISm0J2VagZc9AF?urn=nfl-wp13997
Kermit gets #2 billing then Miss Piggy is #3 ?
Just heard it on TV that the Eagles actually have a chance at winning their division at 8-8. I looked at the necessary steps that must happen for this l o n g s h o t to fall. I would rather the Eagles call Darth and tell him not to bother getting excited. I'm guessing he is holding out hope when the Eagles have been through for some time. Kinda sad that Darth has to put up with this type of hopeless hope........... I fully expect Dallas to put the Eagles out of their misery so the charade can end....
