Did you mean Greg Brady?
Tuesday... They should be announcing the signing of Gus Bradley. This will please the Eagles nation (not to mention the charter members of the Greg Brady fan club). The question is...who will he bring in as assistant coaches? (I know...Marsha, Peter, Bobby, Alice, Sam the Butcher, Davey Jones, Vincent Price, etc). why not...Tom Wilson of the Pistons played the Partridge Family's next door neighbor in several episodes. He was Keith's buddy. Hiring Bradley as coach is only the first step in the right direction, but it is a big step. But I'm jumping the gun by a few hours. Eagles fans are excited by this. The only thing that would ruin this is if they retain Morninwheg and Bowles as coordinators, lol.
Gus Bradley didn't get the job. Did he really exist? Apparently chip Kelly did...and he leaves oregon for Phillytown
Well they got the big fish. But he has no nfl experience. They swung for the fences. I think maybe they should have taken the defensive coordinator, Bradley. Get back to smash mouth football. This is starting to remind me of the Asomougha signing that they were so happy aboutand it turned into a disaster. Who will play quarterback. Vick is old and expensive. Foles can't run. They should gwt kellen moore from the Lions. boise beat kellys oregon team a couple of years ago. . But this guy is smart and innovative and may whe can get rid of the cancers and get the rest to buy in. I'm glad Bradley just now signed with Jacksonville. I felt really bad that he was within minutes of signing the contract with the Eagles when the General Manager got word that Kelly changed his mind.this is an exciting yet scary time to be a Philadelphia fan. Pressed for Kelly in ten minutes. I'm looking forward to listening to it.
His comments are mostly terse and cogent......will not sit well in Philly. His nickname is "Big Balls Chip" for his unconventional play calling.......that nickname alone should scare you. His in game play calling is stubborn and unconventional. He is charismatic...but highly private.....those types scare me also. He has No NFL experience as a player, coach, or even a long snapper. He is the innovater of the spread offense which has had little exposure in the NFL.
I don't see how the Eagles could do worse next year. They will have the talent. They can only get better.
Who will be their QB..........
That's gotta be the million dollar question. I'd like to see a healthy Vick give it one more whirl. How about you?
I agree that he has no nfl experience so he needs experienced coordinators surrounding him. People loved him after his presser. The unconventional stuff is a plus! Stubborn So what? His focus is always on football since no wife and kids. I'm sorry but those concerns seem to be non relevant, IMO. We will see. It may turn out really good . I have faith!
Vick is a good option for this coach. Let's see what personnel changes they consider. They may feel it's time to cut ties to him as well.
I do use different criteria for judging success or failure than do most. Just seems like the make-up of the man will not fit this team unless some changes happen. Not the make-up that you're thinkin of Bill.
All those will be considered positives if the Eagles are winning. Just win, baby.
Yeah nemo, I hear you. But people were gushing over what he said during his welcoming speech. He was all Philly. Then again, they had Reid's "I gotta do a better job. We all do" answers for 14 years. Things were a mess for a while and they know it takes time to turn it around. He seems ready to do the right stuff. But yes, C. J. It will all hinge on them winning, as it should. We are cautiously optimistic right now. Beat of luck to Andy. Everyone knew it was time for a change. Btw... The new coach called Andy Reid to ask him about Philadelphia. Reid showed a lot of class By speaking well of the organization which was part of the reason Kelly changed his mind and came their.
4 wins is pretty low Bill...except for the Lions. I imagine they have higher victory goals per season, but will they get 10-11 wins or just be a .500 team.
I look forward to predicting the Eagles wins total for this coming year. This past season, I gave the Lions an 8 win projection. I obviously forgot about their history.
You guys make this whole Eagles thing fun...even in a down period. I think they will get 6-8 wins next year. But I think in 3 years they will be really good... and the Lions will keep winning about 5 games year after year after year.
Last year..I opened with a 11-5 prediction for the Eagles. By the summer...I had narrowed down their record to an achievable 8-8. You started with a 12-4 prediction..expecting the talent to mesh. Your last prediction was 10-6 after a rough off season. The QB position will determine your fate. Bill says they should finish better (can't do much worse). I expect them to bounce back, based on talent. 8-8 sounds good. My question is... Did they hire the right coach to get them there?
I'll say major turnaround and predict 10-6.
