I have no passion for any of these teams now, do not know who to root for. But I am not depressed about it, Philly did so much better than I thought, so we did good. And we'll be even better next year. I read somewhere where the winner of the last 4 Super Bowls was the team that played the Eagles for their first home game of the season. Guess who it was this years? The Chargers.......

Omg!! I had forgotten about that. My son and I laughed at the beginning of the year that it wasn't going to happen again since the Chargers were so sorry. But here they are. I think they will win the Super Bowl now. I posted in our Picks game thread after reading your reminder. :)

Actually, both teams went from 8 to 17 wins combined.
Philly DID win several more than the Lions....10 games to 7

Did any of you guys ever see the movie "Silver Linings Playbook"? It came out a couple of years ago.
It was supposed to be pretty good and has some Philadelphia Eagles background to it with Robert DeNiro playing a big time hard nosed Eagle fan, so that's like the main reason I wanted to see it. I've just ordered it and am anxious to check it out...

I think this is a great movie. It's funny
and frustrating and sad all in the same mix.
It also shows people that it is possible to
better yourself with the help of the right people.
    Besides...I really like Jennifer Lawrence.

The Eagles are desperately in need of a safety and cornerback. They have plenty of Capp Spayce. What do they do?

They pass on the studs Revis, Ward, and Byrd and get the middle tier Safety at best guy that the Saints ( who defeated them in the playoffs) dumped in order to make room for aforementioned stud Revis!!

Then they get a couple more so so Safeties.

Yes, all upgrades from the garbage they had previously, but nothing to write home about.

Apparently , General Manager Roseman doesn't think they are close to a Super Bowl so why waste the money on good defensive players? Yet they used twice the amount on an already strong offense ( resigning their own players and Sproles.

I guess the Eagles figure they can score 35 a game and hold defenses below that. Most of the media are pissed and say they made a huge mistake. They make a valid point!

Frustrating. But listen to me... Complaining about inept management and frustration to Lions fans. I guess things could be worse. But I don't feel any better.

Golden Tate. I think that signing will work out great for Detroit. I believe he plays special teams as well as wide receiver? Seattle never passes so he never had the chance to show his stuff. I think if Stafford gets it together with those new coaches the Lions MAY have the number TWO offense in the league. ( guess who is first )? :good:

    Darth...

Eagle fans should expect their team to defend their division title in 2014.
The Playoffs are another story, as the defense will be victimized...

Lions will make no improvement in 2014, finishing with probably 6 wins.
The roster wasn't tweaked enough and a new coach...same as the old coach.

Last year I predicted several more wins for the Eagles than the Lions will attain.
Same bodes again for this season. Lions division is just too tough to make a move.

We still need to see what the draft brings. If safety Calvin Pryor drops to the eagles or they move up then we will see. But watch them draft a " best value" receiver.

I will bet the Lions do better than 6 games but Eagles will have the number one offense in the NFL next year.. There is a lot of talent on that roster. Plus the curse died with Ford.

Nemo, if they can stay relatively healthy the Eagles will have the number one offense in the NFL next year!!!

I wish him the best. He was a really good citizen with the Eagles. He never complained. In fact he was very supportive of Nick Foles when Foles Wally Pipped him. Vick could have divided that locker room had he chose to do so. People change.

Looks like DeShawn Jackson might get traded for a third round draft choice if somebody is willing to do the deal. The Eagles are tired of complaining about his contracts and is selfish immature attitude. That $10 million contract isn't making them happy either. This shows that Chip Kelly is in charge of that locker room. The players respect him and he turned the team around in one year. It is going to be an exciting year with or without Desean Jackson. But they better get a really speedy receiver in the draft if they trade him.

I was hoping Mike would stay as a backup.
I want Desean to stay too. Been throught too many years with bullcrap receivers, I know he's a mouthy hot dog, but he's so damn FAST! And a third is pitiful.

Yeah, he would be hard to replace.

I did something 3 weeks ago that a handful of years ago I thought I would never do. I used to hate them. I wouldn't even date a girl if she had one no matter how beautiful she was...

Now I think they can be attractive sometimes. As long as there is no more than one on a girl and in the right place.

Obviously, I am talking about tattoos. Why do I mention that in this thread? Need I say what I have on my arm? It looks nice. I really like it.

Even more surprisingly my wife got one. But hers was the heart chakra symbol above her ankle.

    Our first. Our last.

I won't be going back to the Lions. I can't and I don't want to. I wish that I could have regained my passion for the Lions. Sadly, I cannot.

    GO EAGLES!!!!!!

I have three tatoos. I'm done. My first one was an Eagle one too. Second was Detroit Piston old logo. Eagles on my leg, Pistons on my foot, my last one on my forearm. My husband got his first one last year, it is like a portrait its so good. He is into hunting, so its a deer, with guns and bullets, and a bow, he gets compliments on it wherever he goes.
