We'll, it looks like they think they Re ok at safety. But if Calvin Pryor is there I hope they take him. But Kelly put them in position to need a WR to replace Desean Jackson. But I think they could get a good one in the second round. I guess the best choice might be Brandin Cooks. If not there Odell Beckam or Marquise Lee if the others are gone.

At any rate, I doubt they go defense (Darquez Dennard)?

Darquez Dennard is a gamer. He'll never prove his value unless out on the field.
He's another one of those smart kids that will come out of the MSU football factory.
Kelly will go defense in the 1st round cause that's what he needs...and wants.
    yea...he may go with a wideout in the 2nd round...cause they're a dime a dozen there.

I wish a highly rated edge rusher were there but there are only a couple and they will be long gone. But they need one which will take lots of pressure of the S & CB but given that there won't be one , Calvin Pryor (S) would be my first choice. Darquez (CB) from MSU no less. my second. I agree with you. Receiver can come in the second round. But there's a good chance Pryor and Denard are home before #22. The Lions at #10 have a whole lot more nice options.

The Eagles need to get it right after dumping Desean and a first place schedule coming up. Fortunately the rest of the division should suck. Can't wait until the schedule comes out next week so I can make more informed choices when filling in the wins and losses. FWIW... Which is nothing but wild speculation and amusement. :smiley-poker:

Actually, Dee Ford is probably there at #22 but I would still prefer Pryor.

Yeah. I noticed that before. Never had heard that before the other day but it explains why they thought someone would want him. But nobody will trade for him ( he's been offered in all kinds of deals. People probably know the Eagles will cut him and they can get him free like Jackson. I said long ago I thought the GM was a weasel who was promoted to this level without knowing what he was doing. I hope I'm wrong. The owner absolved him of all blame during Andy's drafts.

Prior to Chip Kelly didn't Andy Reid run a 4-3? I forgot. Well, in any case your U M boy isn't doing himself any good or the eagles. Hopefully a change helps them both.

I m really excited about the turkey game in Dallas. Luckily I will have eaten first.

I just received one of those Eagle texts and I thought it was a joke but it is for real. The Eagles are such a fun team to follow. They just signed a 6 foot nine 277 lb. Defensive lineman straight out of the army. I guess he was a captain and a bit of a hero.

I needed to look up planking. Never heard of it. I live a sheltered life. Now I know but I still don't get the joke? Duh.

They need an ILB, OLB, and CB and S. So forget the wide receiver for now. They need those for defensive possessions so that all possible they need to use the first choice on one. Calvin Pryor and Clinton Dix will be gone so forget safety. But if somehow Anthony Barr (OLB) , CJ Mosley (ILB) or Kyle Fuller (CB) are there that's where they should go. If they have a lick of defensive sense that is, and that is not a given.

The problem is at 22 a lot dries up right around that point in the draft.

Right now I wish I stuck with the Lions. I'm humiliated with their pick. Dennard fell into their laps and they pick a late 2nd rounder/ third rounder. Chip Kelly thinks he's smarter than anyone. Even their own cheerleaders were laughing at the pick. Their Pom poms drooped. I want to throw up. I'm shocked.
What happened to Chip Kelly's big people beat up small people. This guy is small. Not only that they preached drafting for the best player not for need. This was clearly a choice for need. The weasel general manager needs to be fired.

The Lions took a small linebacker in the 1st round around 6 years ago.
He seemed destined for the later rounds.
He left when the coach got fired. (I think it was Rod M.)
This pick sounds eerily familiar.........Sorry darth.
