"Grab your seat cushion Andre, you won't be playing in this one. The Suns played small ball 6 years ago so you don't matchup well against them." - Lawrence Frank before today's practice

If we can stop Scola, chances of winning are high.

You cannot stop Scola. You can only hope to contain him.

This is great. Sure its against an opponent who is on the 2nd of a back to back on the road but that was a tremendous experience for us. The guys are playing together. Spacing was a bit off at times but the ideas were there. The team took a while to find itself. now it needs to build on that.

Also, I hate BoT as much as the next guy, but wow. 19 pts on 7-8 shooting, 6 rebounds and even some assists in 20 minutes.

Pistons win by 40...not much to say other than a team effort and everybody scored except Bynum....who did deliver four assists in the 4th quarter garbage time.

Charlie continues to score from beyond the arc hitting in double figures for the third game in a row hitting 4/5 threes and sharing team high scoring of 19 with Knight who should be the player of the week ..at least in Michigan...if he leads his team to W's in the next two road games.

Good game off the bench too from Stuckey who can be the sixth man of the year if the Pistons are able to get 45-50 victories:dance:

Drummond was out there for over 24 minutes tonight and even played a spell out there with Moose in the second qtr.

Who would thunk it after being tied after one, that the Pistons would nearly double the lead at the end of each qtr...11, 20, and then 40 to end it. (The biggest lead was 44 points). The Pistons won the second half 62-33. They shot over 52% from the floor, and astounding 75% from beyond the arc...12 of 16.

We did to the Suns what the Knicks did to us on Sunday

Brandon Knight wsa once again SPECTACULAR. And the the 2 Pistons that make me want to vomit: Chaz and Stuckey, were AWESOME tonight. Chaz did a good job of matching Scola with buckets because we all know that there's no way Chaz could stop him defensively, but that's more about Scola than Chaz. EVERYBODY played fantastic and took advantage of a tired Phx team.

Again, Who do we have working with Drummond? If he ever gets "it".........Unstoppable dominance! He's easily one of the top 5 most physically gifted players in the league right now. And since the 0-9 start, this team is 5-3. There screwing up our draft positioning AGAIN!

If the Lions could make the playoffs after an 0-6 start, the Pistons can do it after an 0-9 road heavy start. You figure that .500 is the safety mark.

There could be some trade coming this year that could really change the dynamic as well (Okafor or similar).

2nd largest margin of victory in the NBA this year. Also, we held PHO's starters to 3 assists and held their entire team without an assist for an entire quarter. Those things wouldn't have happened even if they had Steve Nash out there in a wheelchair with a blindfold on. 28 to 11 was the assist ratio in our favor I believe.

A team really needs a morale booster like this every once in a while.

Charlie V seems to be a major catalyst right now believe it or not. All in all, he's really been a sport about the 2 years of benching, so I'm rooting for him.

CV is hitting shots and playing enough defense to be on the floor as an offensive complement to Drummond.

With Bynum's minutes reduced, and an unproductive JJ out of the rotation, there are a lot of productive players on the floor at all times, especially with Stuckey getting back some semblance of form and with Knight shooting the ball to find his groove.

I love that Drummond tries moves like his crossover where he missed the layup. He doesn't seem to think he can cover great distances in the air for some reason. He leaves a lot of stuff short.

    He is a ridiculous athalete.

No Byum. No JJ. Very little of Maggette playing out of position at small forward. Basically, you could examine this game pretty darn closely and not find flaws in the rotations the coach used. That is 3 straight quarters now the coach has put the right guys out together. Listening to the interview after the game, yes, I think coach Frank gets it and will continue to respond to what happens game to game with good choices about who plays and where to keep giving us a good chance to win games.

Our starting unit is kind of short on shooters for spacing, so we depend on weaker outside shooters like JMAX and Prince to give us some spacing to go to the load of spacing a good solid shooter like Singler gives us. In contrast, our 2nd unit worked real well in this regard - a slasher in Stuckey that the other team had to address with several people, with Drummond to watch too, with 3, count 'em 3, shooters who can provide that much needed spacing. Maggette, CV, and Singler were all in there for a stretch for the 2nd unit - and Stuckey was plus 30.

Individually, lots of guys did well. CV hit those shots. His post defense, when others try to directly challenge him, is good enough. CV does not move well, but hey, he has the height and length to challenge post players well who try to angle one over him. And Drummond is there if you decide to drive past CV. Not that bad a defense at all tonight from the Drummond / CV combo.

Knight hit his 3's, but not great surprise as our spacing tonight left his shots a lot more open. Singler continues to make plays every minute he is in. Maggette nailed his shots when left open. JMAX hit some outside jumpers. Tay did just enough to make our starting unit a winner yet again tonight. (One tie so far, and otherwise our starting unit with Singler has beat the other team out of the gate before a substitution is made for us.)

Monroe and Drummond each did fine. They played together a couple of times and our interior D really looked good. And those two, when surrounded by good outside shooters - can't really beat that setup.

The team we just beat would be .500 if they beat us tonight. So really, we beat a good West team, and indeed drubbed them soundly. Our starting unit increased the lead both halves to start - and when Knight had to sit with foul trouble early in the 3rd, it was no problem at all because our former starting point guard, Stuckey, came out and ran the offense as well as it can be ran.

I don't think Stuckey even took an outside shot tonight. With shooters on the floor, things were plenty open for his drives. Everything just worked like a thing of beauty. Heck, you can make poetry out of the Pistons play tonight.

I am ecstatic. I look forward greatly to the next game Friday night. GO PISTONS!!!!!
