Cleveland Browns retain the rights to the history of the franchise. They are an original team. When the Baltimore Ravens came into being, they were considered a new franchise with no history. (Even though Art Modell hijacked the team from Cleveland.)
ok in that term i agree... but i look at them as a new franchise as they started from scratch i guess.... either way.... detroit is pretty much alone in the party

True. But what could he have possibly done for the Lions? Maybe win a game or two? Best that he went to a team that he could help. Players that come here are doomed. I truly believe that.
He would have had a career-ender of an injury compliments of that Lions matador offensive line. He'd be reduced to nursing his wounds while having [strike]that dude he's married to[/strike] his wife feed him through a straw.
