According to Chad Ford, Tayshaun Prince is the #3 player most likely to be dealt:

The top players to be dealt are:

    1. Antawn Jamison
    2. Troy Murphy
    3. Tayshaun Prince
    4. Caron Butler
    5. Andre Miller
    6. Jeff Foster
    7. Kirk Hinrich
    8. Tyrus Thomas
    9. Marcus Camby
    10. Carlos Boozer
    11. Jose Calderon
    12. Al Jefferson
    13. Devin Harris
    14. Chris Bosh
    15. Amare Stoudamire

Ford also lists the top 10 expiring contracts. Kwame Brown is listed at #10, but Ford mentions that he would have to be packaged with Tay or Rip for someone to take KB on.

Do you have a better idea based on that list? And please don't go with Rip+Max for Amare or Bosh type nonsense.

As much as I don't like Boozer, I was thinking about that exact trade scenario today. However, it'd be great if they could remove the 'sign Boozer to an extension part'.

    How about this:

    3-way trade between Utah-Washington-Detroit.

Detroit sends Ben Gordon to Utah.
    Utah sends Boozer to Washington.
    Washington sends Jamison to Detroit.

Utah gets a terrific SG that can thrive with D-Williams. If Kyle Korver could make that team better, imagine what BG can do for them.

Washington unloads Jamison's contract for a comparable PF that expires this summer.

    We get a real PF.

In an ideal world, the same trade with us sending Rip to Utah instead of BG. To make Utah bite on that we'd probably have to throw in picks or one of our precious rookies. JJ+Rip or Daye+Rip also works in the scenario above. I really don't see anyone taking on Rip's contract though.

Hmm. Let's add NJ to that.

    Detroit:
    Out: Rip, Daye, Wilcox
    In: Harris, Jamison

    Washington:
    Out: Jamison, Mike James
    In: Boozer

    Utah:
    Out: Boozer
    In: Rip, Daye

    NJ:
    Out: Harris
    In: Mike James, Wilcox

    Our lineup:
    Starters: Harris,Stuckey,Prince,Jamison,Wallace
    Bench: Bynum,Gordon,JJ,Summers,CV,JMax,Kwame

Purely a contract dump for NJ & Washington
    Utah gets screwed
Joe gets executive of the year award.

if I am the Nets fans/owners..I better get the # 1 and I am signing Lebron James as a FA if I am getting stuck with Mike James and Wilcox...even if it is a salary dump...

I think we'll be making some noise on draft night or going into the draft. Think about this, what if Miami doesn't re-sign D-Wade? That means they are left with Chalmers and Beasley under contract and a ton of Cap Room, who's going to sign in Miami without Wade? The onl way Riles will be able to field a roster is via trade...see where I'm going with this.

There are going to be teams who have a great deal of cap space who are going to get royally screwed in the FA market this summer and they will be scrambling to put something that resembles a team on the floor, at that time Joe will get a premium on Tay's expiring contract and maybe even find a taker for Rip and Max too.

According to the Ass. Press Joe says we could be active b4 the deadline "looking for long term solutions"

A C's fan proposed a trade that's intriguing... Rip, Tay for Ray Allen, Big Baby. Wink wink buyout for Allen.
We modify this to include Jmax and one of the C's many expirings and we're all set for a shopping spree...
The Kids play the rest of the year to get their confidence for 10/11 (full tank mode)

I'd take Jamison, Murphy, or Boozer, preferably for Rip. But with no Tay, Rip could start at the two and backup the three when Gordon comes in

Do you want to deal Stuckey or keep working at making him a PG?

I would trade him in a heartbeat if he made more $$. It is the perfect time to unload his potential on someone else.

Aside from the cap space, nightlife, weather and lack of state income tax I can't think of any reasons to sign there.

Tiger Woods could have lived anywhere and he specifically picked that location.

How does everyone feel about Troy Murphy? Has been relatively healthy (anke injury this year), plays well with his back to the basket, can spread the floor for other bigs on the block. Maybe not a top notch individual defender. Makes about 12 million a year. Could definitely contribute to this team at the 5 position, and possibly even play alongside Ben Wallace for a short spell.

With Murph and Charlie V the Pistons would have 2 of the quickest PF's in the league.

They would go good with Stuckey who is really big on running.

    Stuckey
    Gordon
    Daye
    Villanueva
    Murphy

Although Jerebko's offense needs polishing, he is the closest player we have to an all-around talent who can get it done on both ends. Tayshaun comes in second.

Everyone on our roster can do something but there is not an all-around player who is exceptional on both ends of the floor. We have too many mediocre and above average 2's, 3'4, 4's and 5's.

We need an above average play-maker (Devin Harris, Calderon..) and an All-Star level PF (Jamison...) or Center (Bosh, A. Bynum...)

We need youth, height, draft picks, and strength. Troy Murphy would be a epic fail. We are building for the future. Remember the Grant Hill trade?
