Maybe Joe wants a good draft pick, but he's got to realize that some of his players (e.g. Prince, Tayshaun) are looking increasingly bad as time goes on. Maybe he should try to get something for him before it's too late.
Isn't Prince an expiring contract next season? If so he will be quite easy to trade then. He needs to stay here and play 30+ min a game, for the reminder of the season and not get injured again to help this team reach its objective for this season. Next year Joe can trade him to the Clippers to reward him for the fine job he has done.
Some interesting stuff here... did anyone know we had an offer from Charlotte for Tay last year? http://www.nba.com/pistons/chat_mailbox/mailbag_100204.html?rss=true http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/12880078/pistons-in-dire-need-of-rebuilding-broken-franchise
So does that mean we could have traded Tay and the draft rights for our second round pick (Sammy Mejia) to Charlotte for the draft rights to their #8 pick (Brandan Wright)? That's what Golden State did. I don't think we would have gotten the best of that deal.
Players picked after B.Wright, and before Rodney Stuckey: Thaddeus Young Joakim Noah Al Thornton Now, do you see anybody on that list who you would trade Tay for right now? I do........
