The D-League announced that they will be adding a franchise in Fort Wayne next year. They are also adding three other expansion teams to the league for next year... this brings a total of 16 teams available for the NBA to share.
IMO, it is not a fair situation to have the Lakers with their own dedicated team (fortunately they suck) while others have to share... adding only four teams a year is not acceptable... I can't fathom what is taking so long to get each NBA team their own minor league team to hire their own coaches to instill their philosophies.
With three picks and Blalock this would be a nice venue for our youngsters to develop close to home... I would consider a trip down to check out the prospects.:chopper:

Fifty years after the Pistons moved to Detroit and six years after the collapse of the Continental Basketball Association, professional basketball is coming back to Fort Wayne.
