Harrellson misses, barely, at horn. Would have tied the game. Oh well.
Bynum ends up with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 7 turnovers Drummond with 21 points, 11 rebounds Some bizarre team totals: Rebounds: Detroit 55, Miami 29 Turnovers: Detroit 23, Miami 10 Steals: Miami 12, Detroit 3 Assists: Miami 29, Detroit 15
Bill, those should be expected. Detroit is bigger and better rebounding. Miami is one of the better defensive teams. And Pistons only had their PG#4 available.
We went from having 5 guards for 4 spots to having 2 guards for 4 spots? Jennings- tooth. Stuckey- finger. Billups- ? WB and Drum had 49 points on 27 shots. 1.81 pps! Our deadliest duo by a mile. 48 FTA by us looks like pre season type stuff by the refs.
Billups told Cheeks that he was only going to play 4-5 preseason games.
82 game season on a team with a defensive identity is going to be hard on him.
Did Bynum just set the record for minutes played in a pre-season game??
How many turnovers did Drummond have? Couldn't Billups have played this one and sat another? Don't look now Pistons fans because it is only the pre-season, but Drummond is putting up All-NBA type numbers. I still laugh every time I read about Stuckey's injury. This is great news!!! Loudest cheers came when they flashed updates of the Tigers game.........
Awesome game updates Lee. You rock dude!
I watched this one on a sketchy internet feed and here are some observations:Even while watching on a sketchy internet feed, I still can't stand the Heat. I hope all of those guys break their thumbs this season.Dre was checking LeBron in the first half on a few possesions and stayed with him a couple times. I like the fact that Maurice challenged the kid to take on this assignment. Dre seemed to step up and say "I got this!" Dude didn't back down at ALL.Will Bynum looked tired. I don't blame him.Kent Pope looked nervous. He played some pretty solid D and I like the fact that we have a Piston guard that isn't afraid to snag a rebound. He fights hard for loose balls and had some solid rebounds in traffic. Sweet block on a B-Easy Beasley breakaway attempt too!Cheeks really wanted to win this one for some reason. Hopefully, this attitude carries over to the regular season.Free Tony MitchellIf Josh Smith can make threes, I don't mind him taking threes.I think Chris Jerebko had a talk with his kid and told him that he'll have a chance at getting more minutes if he can play the 3. Jonas looks slimmer, quicker and actually looks like he can hang with SFs on defense. He was checking Ray Allen last night and Ray had a tough time getting his shot off without one of Jeb's hands all up in his grill.Monroe was getting killed by Bosh. Hopefully our help defene improves as our three bigs have a chance to get more run with each other.Seemed like a decent crowd last night. It will be interesting to see if they get similar crowds when LeBron isn't in the building. At the end, with the game on the line ...Mo went to Jorts! You know you're a Pistons fan when you have the sound turned up on your laptop for a meaningless preseason tilt and the sound muted on the boob-tube for Game-5 of the ALDS playoffs with a win or go-home situation for the Tigers. ...I like the Tigers. ...I guess I really like the Pistons.
LOL. I had the same setup! Pistons on the laptop, Tigers on the telly. I would mute and unmute the games depending on which one was on commercial. I mostly had the baseball game muted.
Baseball has sound?
I thought you played Little League. Don't they have chatter in Canada? "Come on batter, batter, batter.....sssswwwwiiinnnnngggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I never played Little League.
ESPN showed 35 seconds of highlights of this game which consisted of a Ray Allen steal, two Bosh dunks and a Wade dunk. If it had not been played on the Pistons floor someone not in the know probably wouldn't know who the Heat were thrashing by ....by 5 points. No highlights of Drummond or comments about the new coach or the Pistons new pieces. It was all about the defending champs...
"Eh" batter, "eh" batter. "eh" batter...
I also never played Big League.
Is that Canadian baseball chatter, eh?
It also works in da U.P. little league.
