Thanks for the update, Jammertime. I may be tempted to go with an old English "D" this year for my jack-o-lantern.

The ole English D was very popular last year with the Tigers in the World Series and all, but this year I had to pay tribute to the 5-2 Detroit Lions. The pumpkin on the right was carved by my 11-year-old son. The picture is a little blurry, but they came out pretty good:

Not to take anything away from the efforts of you and your son, BL..but I think my pumpkin carving puts yours to shame:

Very nice, Bill. What tools did you use?

Not Pistons-related, but my first time doing pumpkin shaving:

Nems, that is just straight up psychotic and maybe delicious.
Now that i think about, you probably used your fingers to carve a lot of it.

Awesome work guys. Nemos almost looks like a prop from a horror movie, I actually got a little scared at first glance.

I bought some pumpkin-carving tools. One of the tools was battery-operated carver. It was nice to cut the lid, but it was a little too powerful to make the intricate cuts. Mostly, I just used this little saw tool. I found the Red Wings stencil online. That completes my Detroit edition, since I have already done Lions, Tigers, and Pistons.
