Time will tell, which piece he is... We have nothing to lose here. We are getting a big at a bargain price. I mean, if DIOP received a 33 mil dollars contract, we should feel good about this signing. Just compare their stats. If he pans out, great. Joe has done it again. If he doens't, then he sits and will be packaged next year.
In the absence of Bynum, it would have been nice for the Lakers to have Kwame Brown to bang the post in the finals. But the need was predicated by Bynums injury not Kwame's excellence. Fact is, the dude was sent packing with many hallelujuh's and much rejoicing. People were very happy to be rid of him. Had Bynum returned for the playoffs the Lakers might have won the series. But, they certainly would not have made the Finals had they not moved Kwame for Gasol. Kwame failed in LA because Lakers were simply asking more from him than he is capable of providing. He ain't a starter. He has his moments, for sure. It's up to Curry to use him in situations where his limited set of skills are maximized and his weaknesses are masked. We do need the few things Kwame provides. But we sure don't need the many mistakes that come with the package.
HA-HA-HA-A-HAAA-HA THE CORE IS STILL INTACT. KNEENER,KNEENER,KNEENER If Kwam can be our new Worm, I could like it. But if he needs to be in the Off. flow with the ball. Somebody just put me out of my misery.
you don't pay a young guy 4 million a year to be insurance. He might not play major minutes but he will not be buried on the bench.
As tight as the western teams were in the end, I don't think the Lakers would have even made the playoffs it were just Kwame and no Gasoft or Bynum. To tell you the truth as good as the hype was on Bynum, I am not sure they would have made it to the finals with just Bynum and Kwame....The offensive game of Gasoft is what helped Kobe propel them that far despite their defensive lapses. Once they ran into the Celtics a team that played D, it was over.. When I was listing to the afternoon LA sport stalk guys on Monday they both believed that with Kwame and Gasolft, they would have won the Boston series and they are already printing finals tickets for next year thinking that Bynum will be the difference, but I am buying that until I see him play again... Kwame won't start, but if he can mesh in there and provide more than Theo, then we have already improved. He will get more minutes due to his youth, but like Bynum, I am in a wait see mode on how one recovers from the injusry and how the other recovers from almost being written and humiliated out of the league.
I think this is all a mute point. This is Spurs year. They didn't make it last year, so it is their time. Have a nice day.
Curry is big reason why Kwame Brown is a Piston | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press I guess, Flip was the negative influence on the team...
bad thing is they are hoping much from coach and nothing from players:nerd2: but it is still better hope than nothing from coach and nothing from players
Kwame just needs some love . . . edited to add; Flip was actually a very nice guy . . . Flip Saunders' Pre-Game Speech to the Detroit Pistons REVEALED! (Humor) | Bleacher Report
No, it seems that the COACH is hoping much from coach. The Coach holds himself to a very high standard.
Another article about KB. Kwame Brown looks to resurrect career in Detroit - NewsFlash - mlive.com His defense has been good and that it has largely gone unnoticed by most fans because of the general disappointment in his overall game. So, we have a big man who wants to be here and he respects Joe D. Let's hope that he just needed time to mature.
I'm on the KB bandwagon. Hopefully, i don't have to get off anytime soon . . . I'm cautiously optimistic.
