Say what you want about Brandon Knight, but putting up 19 and 14 against a team that was 1 quarter away from playing in the NBA Finals is pretty good to me. Even D Wade didn't put up those kind of #'s against the Celtics.

I wouldn't say that he's dominating but he's playing well.

I kinda ripped him a few days ago after only seeing him in the 1st game (where he pretty much sucked). Since then, I've had a chance to check out a couple more games (OKC & Boston) and he's looked much better. He looks stronger than last year. He's putting up better numbers (he's a 3rd year guy so he SHOULD) but he still kinda floats around out there at times.

For me, it's hard to describe but it's like someone told him to "let the game come to you" and he's taken that advice way too far. A guy with his ability and physical tools should be way more aggressive playing against summer leaguers. When you watch these games, you immediately see that Brandon Knight is the alpha dog of the Piston Summer League team. I'd like to see that same kinda thing from Daye. While dudes like Singler and Kenny English might not be putting up the numbers that Austin Daye is putting up, I like the way that they're playing much better.

Daye certainly didn't look like the alpha dog when he posed for that picture taped up in ths shower.
He looks signifigantly bigger this season. His personality needs to grow into his new physique.
It's obvious the Pistons will keep him cause that's what they do.......so he needs to show what he can do.

I keep expecting to read some information regarding that picture explaning how a couple members of Automotion were the ones responsible for grabbing Daye and taping him up.

Sullinger is one of the best offenve big men drafted and the way Drummond stopped him was very impressive.

Sully is well known for struggling with length, which Andre has oodles of. That said, his one on one defense is looking quite good, I believe the collective FG% of guys he's guarded hovers around 35%. That game against O'Quinn looks to have been an aberration.

I loved in the video highlights, they say "the veteran Daye takes the shot." For some reason, I never thought of Daye as a veteran...

He was red flagged with a back issue, not for that he would have been top 10 for sure.

Man, as much as I love being able to watch and discuss these games every day, it's just too exhausting for the players to be able to tell much about them after the first game other than their current level of conditioning. Drummond is absolutely dragging.

Piston rooks hold on to win todays game vs the Sixers and move to 4-1. Playing five games in five days can wear you out even if you are only 21 years old. Just imagine if these games games had been in Las Vegas with 110 degree temps and the nightlife....

I only watched the 4th qtr so cannot give an assessment of the whole game.....the coaching staff realized that there # 1 pick finally needed a blow so they sat Drummond for the 4th qtr.

Elder statesman Daye played up to the last minute of the game and had a double-double as he is still trying to reinvent himself and impress the coaches that he can still contribute.

Fell asleep about halfway through the third (LFrank looked to be about ready to do the same, heh). No Knight or Singler in this one.
Andre only played 17 minutes? He must really have been exhausted.

    I'll be brief:
    Ware looked much better.

Kim's a gunner - not afraid at all. Kinda wish Daye had that kind of confidence. Kim really needs to stop with the out of control blinders-on breaks. He ran right into another charge today. His defense is really good though.

Middleton looked good from what I saw. He and Kim were the primary long range threats today.

Daye needs to not be going one on one at any time. Seriously. He was allowed to create more today, with mixed results. Very good rebounding game though.

Andre showed off a pretty good jumper early.

I like Yancy Gates. Too bad he won't make the team.
