was that off the rack or did you have to special order that sucker? one game.... he has to hold some records for per game average for them... If i remember that one game he really was a monster.
Curry maybe a bit naive in believing that seasoned NBA veterans will suddenly tow the line and buy into the TEAM concept. Bench Sheed and I am sure we will be reading comments in the paper soon after.
I had it made at one of those apparel stores at a mall in Denver. I got a good deal due to the fact that the manager of the store grew up in Southfield and was a Pistons fan. I guess he got a kick out of it. I doubt that a one-game stint with the Hawks gave the league merchandising peeps enough time to make off-the rack versions. My thinking was that the Sheed trade put us over the top in '04 and I really wanted to honor that transaction.
wow, as time goes by i sure remember better then they were.... i thought he had a double double and actually shoot half way decent... 20 point on 24 shots... yuck
They ain't got nothin' on Coach Curry! 1 bad possession by a player, and he'll trade them during the next timeout!
Just listened to a nice interview with currey on WDFN Curry on WDFN: Leadership based on accountability, respect and honesty - Detroit Pistons Basketball: News, Blogs, Photos, Audio, Schedule & Stats - MLive.com covers alot of things... talks about playing to the players strenghts. When Stuckey, AA, Maxy, and Amir are on the court they will be more up and down. Talks about the little things again.... has to sound good to us fans if we get what he's preaching....
Curry is indeed the extension of Joe that Joe has always wanted. The Pistons almost seem as if they run their org based on the teachings of John Maxwell and Stephen Covey's books on organizational structure. This change probably should have happened in 2006.
Well, Curry thinks he was ready a couple of years ago: "I am ready," Curry said. Then he boldly added, "It should've happened when I retired; three years ago I thought I should have been a head coach."
Gotta be an assistant first. I think Curry is ready now. I like the hire. It's a departure from recycling all the old names that have been head coaches in other places.
