I remember Walker, known for his defense. Should be a good hire.
I concur with these coaching hires. Darrell Walker a defensive guru. Looks like we are getting back to our old defense wins games philosophy.
By the way good morning to you lpgrl.
Now, you've heard it here first. We officially have one of the worst coaches in the NBA:
Golden State Warriors Examiner - Ranking the NBA coaches: Phil Jackson at top, Randy Wittman at bottom - Examiner.com
1. Phil Jackson
2. Larry Brown
3. Gregg Popovich
4. Don Nelson
10. Doc Rivers
29. Jim O’Brien
30. Randy Wittman
The rest of the list is in the article.
Have a nice day.
Didn't we have a list like this last year? Just trying to remember where Flip was slotted and how far did Doc move up from last year??
I'm glad they rate these things for us at the beginning of the season so that we don't have to use meaningless stats like WIN/LOSSES to try to figure it out.
how is this rated? I have great respect for larry brown, but to list him number 2 after the job he did in New York and being out of the game for almost 2 years is just wrong...... then look at number 4... Nelson makes games fun to watch I'll give him that, but anybody here want him to coach there team if there serious about winning a championship?
He says in the article that all first year coaches are ranked at the bottom because they are first year coaches. We already know Micheal Curry is a first year coach and therefore a question mark so this ranking means nothing.:nerd2:
oh i have no beaf with any rating towards a newbie coach... its the rating of brown to a point, but the rating of nelson just makes me laugh.... he's a joke of a coach when it comes to playoff baskeball which is what counts, he makes flip look good.... is that even possible?
Do people actually take these rankings seriously?
