Against the Knicks in January. The good news is that I'll be going, and last time I saw the Pistons live they won a Championship later that year ;) Detroit Pistons get second billing but international home game vs. New York Knicks worth it | MLive.com
Are you blue or red SaintGeorge?? #coys Having said that - no animosity intended. I love meeting British EPL supporters because it is so engrained! And yes, please take photos =)
Welcome Saint George......8 hour difference between London and California....I can watch it at lunch time as long as LP airs it.
I can't wait for this either. I'll be booking my flights from Geneva as soon as it is confirmed. Glad to see I won't be the only Pistons supporter in the building. Will be like watching the only other Pistons game I saw live (at the Boston Garden) where I was one of two in blue.
I'm actually a Liverpool fan. I don't mind City but I despise United (who technically aren't from Manchester anyway)
Cool. I'm a long term Liverpool fan too. I fly over from Sweden and watch 2-3 games at Anfield each year (except this since I haven't had the time due to work).
me wanna know too; would be a huge thing for Euro-Pistons fans to be able to watch the team in London!!!
I know it hasn't been officially announced, but I discussed this with Sekou Smith at the Olympics in the Summer - I asked him to try and find out, and he contacted me later that day and confirmed to me that it was indeed to be held in London. I wrote an article about it at Piston Powered at the time also.
I was going to go regardless of where it was played, but London makes it all the more easier from Geneva.
Even if they DON'T play an exhibition in London this year, they should tell Charlie that the game is on just to screw with his head.
Haha ... I met Smith at the previous game that was held in London - the Nets v Raptors games back in early 2011. His hotel was right near my apartment and I must have been one of the only people to recognise him in London... anyway we stayed in touch. As for the column, well Feldman from Piston Powered asked me to write that as I'm a long time commenter over at PP, and being from London I guess he wanted the perspective from across the pond!
It's official now. http://www.freep.com/article/20121004/SPORTS03/121004012/detroit-pistons-new-york-knicks-nba-london
