"Swinging a trade that was made with the future more than the present in mind, the Pistons on Friday sent Nazr Mohammed to Charlotte in exchange for Primoz Brezec and Walter Herrmann. To accommodate taking an extra player back, the Pistons then waived Ronald Dupree to create roster space for the two Bobcats."

Holy Jeepers BATMAN!!!!!!! How and the heck was Joe able to do that one!!!! This dude actually got rid of NAZR for 2 expiring deals, and got a 7'er in the deal, and another SF in the deal and saved a million dollars!!!! We now have 4 expiring contracts (5 if you count Jarvis) worth almost $9Million dollars. This basically means that Joe is indeed going to sign Chris Webber after the next trade. WAY TO GO JOE!!!!!

Dudes, I'm sooooo lovin this deal. But seriously, how effed up of an exec is MJ, he has got to be the worst NBA executive in the league, dude we already jipped him with the stack/rip deal. Now the dope takes on Nazr's contract....LMAO

Basically we trade dupree for Hermann, a guy who will never play for a guy with possible potential, and Nazr for a 7 footer who probably can fill for his less than 10 minutes a game. And if they don't work out, they're gone next year. (additionaly, minus that massive nazr contract)

all considered, I think this was a steal for joe.

The only negative is that it makes us a little thinner down low b/c who knows how brezec will turn out, but this may give guys like amir more time to play in the long run.

Wow, that is great news. We get rid of dead weight and a bad contract. Even if these new guys don't do anything for us, their expiring contracts will.

I know there are some salary cap geniuses out there, so here is my question. What is the minimum length of time that the Pistons have to wait until they are allowed to trade Brezec and Hermann again? Before this year's deadline I hope.

    Thank God.

I don't know much about Brezec, but Hermann is tough, and a good shooter.

I think very soon, remember we got Sheed right after he was traded to Atlanta. I think those restrictions only happens when you ink new contracts, you have to allow the ink to dry. With a trade there is no NEW contract.

Great deal! Better contracts and some guys who can possibly contribute while they're here. Hats off to Joe!

Primo is actually decent. He played well last year but not so great this year from what I hear/read. But I like him--Herrmann was a classic case of good play on a bad team only because he was on a bad team. He's a throwaway IMO

Hermann can't do worse than Dupree, and at least the contracts are expiring.

So does Joe have big plans, or was he just all too willing to take advantage of grabbing expiring deals for Nazr's bad contract?

    Make my day.

The question is will this open up minutes for AJ?

I guess we will have to wait and see.
