This is what Nazr said in January, 2007: "I don't want to be traded," Mohammed said on Thursday. "Nobody wants to be traded. I choose to come here. I want to win a championship with this team. I don't want to start over with my family somewhere else."
Yeah, but Jan. '07 was before he was benched, first behind CWebb and then behind Dice and JMax this year. I still think he's probably happy to be getting minutes with a new team.
No, this quote came after Nazr was benched behind Webber....hence the talk about Nazr asking for a trade. First, he mentioned he wanted to be traded, then he retracted and said he wanted to stay a Piston.
Oh, I'd misremembered when they signed CWebb. I thought it was in February, but looking it up, I see it was actually in mid-January.
I think the point by fwoompf that Nazr already has a ring will make it a little easier for him getting traded to a lottery team.
Everyone knows that The Zenmeister has the most rings among coaches; i.e., 9. Who has the most rings among active players and how many do they have? Hint: Salley and this guy are the only players to have won rings with three different teams.
Come on Buddah, this is too easy. Horry's got 7 (2 with the Rockets, 3 with the Lakers, 2 with the Spurs)
Okay guys/gals. It was easy, but I thought maybe after a big meal and a few drinkies that. Oh well forget it. You guys are just oooohh soooo on the ball.
Nazmo's big numbers didn't keep him in the starting lineup. Guess Vincent doesn't like his defense or passing either. The Bobcats still lost but the game at Orlando was relatively close, which is a lot better than the Bobcats had been playing with Nazmo starting. NBA - Charlotte Bobcats/Orlando Magic Box Score Saturday December 29, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports
Even in the two games Charlotte won, Mohammed was negative. Tonight is unusual, in that he is heavily positive. He had positive numbers in another recent loss, but it was all in the 4th quarter where his team was way behind playing catchup. Playing catchup from him being so negative the rest of the game. I am surprised it took this long.
Jameer Nelson has gone back to sucking. Arroyo seems to be the lesser of the two evils at this point.
Bobcats are weak, and having NazMo starting or coming off the bench doesn't really change things much. Game against Orlando being close is not an indicator as Magic really struggled as of late. I mean, they have Arroyo starting at PG, how bad must Nelson be?
I was listening to the Bobcats - Hornets game and the Hornets announcers said that the Bobcats defense in the paint was like a sieve. This was when Nazmo was in. That sounded awfully familiar to me. If he could play defense no way Joe trades him to clear cap space. Why do that when you want to win a title and you have a guy who can really defend the paint. Obviously for Nazmo this was not the case with us and is not the case with the Bobcats and was certainly not the case with the Spurs who let him go after one year and we know how important defense is to the Spurs.
I agree. However, you're not going to find many centers who can really defend the paint ala Sheed. And we already knew that Mohammed is neither very athletic nor very mobile. In addition, his hands don't help either. But if you give him 30 minutes per game he'll average a double-double for you.
Whoa! You guys are starting to lose me. I am in the old style playing field of data analysis. By this I mean studying patterns, trends, and relationships among data (or just plan objects, meaning you) and especially having an obtuse relationship to the non-obvious and those unexpected patterns. I can relate to your positive and negative insights, but what about those anomalies: cluster analysis, linkage analysis, time series analysis and categorization analysis. Yea, I know: your response (and a good one) would have to do with the variable question of: how does this relate to the current price of skim milk? I don't know. However, I am under the obligation to direct. With the aforementioned questioning, go to: Data Analysis& Decision Making with Microsoft Excel, Albright, Winston, Zappe, pg. 77 (ISBN 0534261248).
Alright P99 that's it. I'm tired of your overly adverbal, preposistional political speak. What? - Is there Defense in the NBA? Can one man do it? I don't think so. Would a system of 3 trapping interior men accomplish this? Maybe.
