The Warriors were double- and triple-teaming Brezec today. Primo is definitely feared around the league...

I'll guess Brezec doesn't play unless it's a blowout. Brezec is the new Darko (HVC). Perhaps even Herrmann will dress and Brezec will sit that game.

But but if Brezec can't keep Baby Shaq off of the glass who else do we have that can?

I'd have been fine if it was just for Herrmann. I know the $ doesn't match up. But, Herrmann for Nazr stright up would have still been a steal.

Just a another comment on Brezec.

In close to 300 NBA games he is averaging 20 mpg and only 8.8 rebounds per 40 minutes. That is also what he averaged last year for the Bobcats. That is really pretty weak for guy 7'2"

He has enough of a track record in the NBA with this being his 7th year, that I don't think we will see much of an improvement in that area.

He's definitely not a strong rebounder, but it depends how he doesn't get the rebounds.

If he boxes out every time and clears space, then it is better than if his man is getting offensive boards.

Also keep in mind that he has been starting most of the time. We aren't asking him to rebound against Dwight Howard anymore. All he has to do is grab some boards against 2nd stringers in a new NBA with very few big men. On the other end, set some screens, hit an 8 foot jumper, be able to swing the ball, don't turn it over.

And most importantly, sit on that chair over there. We'll see how he rebounds from that!

I would rather have AJ in there and forget this Brezec guy altogether.

If AJ plays he becomes our 4th big. That is two deep at the 4 and 5 with Sheed, Dyess and AJ all able to play the 5.

Fine if you want to play Brezec as a practice team guy or in case one our bigs goes out for a game or more.

I sure as heck wouldn't play him ahead of AJ, but Flipper may not feel that way.

Good for Naz. Now I have a reason to watch the Bobcats on those really boring nights when nothing else is on.

He can play, just not as well as Sheed, JMax, Dyess, and Amir.

I don't have anything against Mohamed, he just was not a good fit here. Does not matter to me if he gets double-double's every other night. It was his poor ball handling skills and slow feet on defense that was not working here.

Agreed Max, but it's good to see him pay dividends so Jordan doesn't look like Dumars' complete Biatche.
Wooking this C grade player is all part of the GM scheme.

True, if Joe just keeps on pimpin the other GM's it wont be long before they stop taking his calls. Nazr HAS to appear to be a good player for Charlotte so Joe can Ben Dover a few more GM's, becaue wer still have this Murray guy to deal with, maybe Joe can trade him for a 2009 1st round pick to a lottery team.
