That's a good point. If Nazr turned out to be a worthless piece of garbage, that would not help us. Once we trade a guy, we want him to do well.

Now Joe can use the argument that Flip Murray is great, he just doesn't get a chance with Billups, Hunter, Stuckey, Rip, Afflalo, etc.

Hopefully who ever we try to peddle him to won't call Danny Ferry.

    :hoops:

Those are good numbers across the board. Good for Nazr.

Wow, dont know how I missed this one, was just skimming over the Charlotte / NY boxscore today, and Nazr was in the top player spot, and I started thinking that thats a pretty strange error to make.... hahaha

Granted I've been pretty occupied so far this season with work and what not, so I've been a bit slack in keeping up to date, haha. Dont mind this trade at all, gets rid of that horrible contract that was doing nothing, and Brezec has shown promise a few seasons ago where he averaged 13.0ppg, 7.4rpg over 72 games.

If he gets double double's every other night, we would have kept him. Or we would have already trade him during the off season as there will be a lot of calls for Joe D.

How about the Pistons learn to play with all their players. Looks to me as if only a choose few get to swim.
Let's give Nazz about 20 games and see where his numbers are.
All of these guys could've helped us:
    YKW
    Fino
    Nazz
    Dupe
    F Murrary
    TDrib
Dribblesoffhisfoot...can't think of his name. Went to Lakers

    Mo Evans...LOL:pound:

Whats funny about us Forummites is that we call a player trash when they are foes(Murray-Cavs;:Nazr-Spurs;Herrmann-Cats; even Hayes to an extent never scared me in Washington) but they come here and we expect them to be saviors.
Herrmann and Flip will be traded to the West Conference (probably New Orleans) and this team will be set. Games 1-25 were a huge success and now the next 25 should be used for fundemental upkeep. A 15-10 record will be good enough for me as long as we get proper playing time for the kids. Thatll make us 33-17 after 50 games then we can go 24-8 down the strtech for 57-25 record.

(BTW, if Boston goes 29-29 , they'll be 50-32, so I say theyll go 37-21 and finish 58-24)

I believe Nazr had a negative number on the +/- for the game even in a fairly large victory for Charlotte which coincides with a lot of what was said about Nazr here. He can put up some numbers, but the team will almost always be better when he's not on the court.

True, there is a certain thing about playing on a winning team. Lot of things happen that do not show up in the stats. Antoine Walker is a classic example. Put him on the team like the C's of a few years ago and give him the green light to shoot whenever he wants and he is going to put up impressive numbers.

Mohamed just could not keep up with the rest of the Pistons for the most part. Pistons play at a higher level than a team like the Bobcats.

In the 3 games that he has started, Nazr averaged 17.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 2.3 blocks.

I wonder if Nazr would prefer to be a starter and major contributor on a lottery team like the Bobcats or a situational role player on a championship contender like the Pistons.

Aside from ring-chasing vets like the pathetic later years of Spider Salley, I think most players (who aren't stars and never will be) like Nazr prefer to be with a team where they can get consistent playing time.

Also, let's not forget that Nazr already has a ring. :)

Honestly I'm happy if he does really well in Charlotte - I like to watch that team.

I feel the same way. The guy did not give me anything to not like about him. Other than not making it here but that was not his fault. He tried as hard as he could and never said anything bad about the Pistons.

What he prefers? How can one answer that when he never said anything about it either way.
