If Darko lives up to the hype we are hearing from training camp If McDyess regains his old form like duirng his first two years in the league If Sheed is 20lbs lighter with a big chip on his shoulder If Arroyo resemble that speedy PG that dominated in the Olympics If Carlos Delfino blows up If Mo Evans proves that he is no fluke and dominate other teams like he did the Pistons last year Absolutely no one in the league will be able to touch us, we will essentially have two starting units. How many teams out there can deal with us if the above variables came to fruition?
San Antonio. They almost have 2 starting units as well. Mohammed Duncan Bowen Ginobili Parker and Nesterovic Oberto Horry Barry/Finley Van Exel
almost is right. they are quite old though and lack defense. armygirl i'd like to add if lindsey and dale davis can fight age 1 more year. if the rooks are as good as we think they are. big ben contract year.
There are other variables too -- like Detroit being hit by its first major starter injury in three years. So I'll beg off on counting our chickens. Especially since the law of averages often catches up in bunches.
armygirl, what you mean, Dyess having the form in his first 2 years in this league? He's been awesome for more than just two years!
I would settle . . . . . . for four of the six, plus the impact of Ben playing his contract year. That one might not be that important, though, as Ben plays so hard every game anyway. As hit age, though, I don't see Dyce regaining for form he had in his first years, but I would settle for a natural progression of getting better than last year. I have another one, though, that might make some difference: * What if Ben raises his FT percentage by say 25 % points. Could happen!!
I'm very sure Ben's free-throws will be n the low 60's this year. It's not great, but it's better. (I think this because he does work very hard on his shot, and it will improve.)
