I was reading the Cavs board and 90% of the folks think that Kuester was the brainchild of the Cavs victories and potent offense.

I will remain optimistic about our new coach especially if he goes ahead and signs Bill L as an assistant.

For the first and last time:

25 plus years of coaching/assistant coaching experience>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Michael Curry.

And yeah, the Cavs fans are suicidal about this move.

Didn't we already know all of their plays? As TaS so eloquently summarized:

You know, this picture sold me on him. It's obvious from this picture who the real coach was for the Cavs. Brown's just sitting there and listening like another player.

If Kuester is the brains, then he needs someone to be the braun.

At this point, I'd prefer to see Laimbeer get a gig like the MN job. He would be able to be himself as an assistant.

Wow . . i haven't read this thread so i don't know what the general sentiment is, but seriously?! John Kuester? Can we get John Hammond back please? Joe is starting to scare me.

Isn't he the brains behind the Cavs offense?

    edited to add;

That picture makes me want to cry.

I agree. There were dopier looking pictures of him, but this one makes him look like he knows his way around a dry erase board.

Apparently people fail to see the difference between 1 year and 25 years of coaching experience.

Avery wanted 4 years and 20 million dollars. Who the frick does he think he is?

No. You are the one that is failing to see the obvious. 1 year of Head Coach experience = 1000 years of assistant coach experience. So, obviously 1000 > 25. So, there you go.

I hear the vocal cord realignment surgery is quite expensive.

Yes, Kuester was in charge of all the offense. He drew up every play.

Mike Brown handled the D and as you can see from the picture, did nothing with the Offense. If you go back and watch old footage, you can see how involved Kuester was on the sidelines.

Cleveland's D is what cost them in the playoffs, not there Offense.

That is why you saw a few rumors that Mike Brown might get fired.

I think John Hammond was the real brains behind the Pistons. Joe D. has egg all over his face. First off he chases after Doug Collins who had already been ran out of town then he tries to low ball Avery Johnson. Go hire Maurice Cheeks and call it a day Joe. Then you can fire him in 2 years.
