Too bad...I think Mo would've been a good fit here...the Pistons still need a scoring vet off the bench.

LOL Patterson makes Artest look like the Dalai Lama. Do you REALLY think JoeD would seriously contemplate exposing his youth to that head case? :pound:

Patterson had been clean for a few years now. But he's old. We need to get younger.

He's only been "clean" because he's learned to dump the bodies after he's done.

    No evidence.

Rueben has been cool for a while now. Rueb's biggest issue was the same as Bird's and Barkley's......they go to the bar after the game and put a few down and end up in trouble. By the time a cat turns 30 all of that plays out and you just want to go to work (the gym), go home, and be a professional basketball player.

As far as him being old, have you watched him the last 2 seasons?? He's been a stop gap in Denver and Milw. When both teams picked him up HE DELIVERED. He's tough, strong, rebounds, attacks the rim and defends. Give me Rueben or give me DEATH, but I'll settle for Matt Barnes.

Barnes hasn't gotten any offers so far. I know he's upset.

Unrestricted free agent DeShawn Stevenson and the Washington Wizards have agreed on a contract to keep the shooting guard with the club.
The team wouldn't disclose the terms of the deal, but it's reportedly worth $15 million over four years.

Former Trail Blazer Steve Blake is coming back to Portland, even though in one sense he never left. The free agent point guard who played for the Denver Nuggets last season signed a reported two-year deal with an option. The Blazers, who confirmed his return late Friday, did not disclose terms.

Mikki Moore agreed to a contract with the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, leaving the New Jersey Nets to join his eighth NBA team. The 7-foot Moore had a breakthrough campaign with the Nets last season, averaging career highs of 9.8 points and 5.1 rebounds while making nearly 61 percent of his shots, leading the NBA. He started 55 games for New Jersey while filling in for injured Nenad Krstic, providing energy and veteran experience as the Nets reached the second round of the playoffs,

Not quite an inside scoring demon, but has given us fits from time to time.

Dumb move in my opinion. Joe Smith and P.J. Brown are now going to take away more minutes from Noah and Tyrus Thomas. He is not even close to a consistent post scorer either.

All these movements and so far the only news out of the Pistons camp is that we have been resigning our own. Nothing wrong with that, but we are still looking at the same vets that have fallen short the last 2 years and have gotten older and now we are putting our hope of some rookies and 2 year players with limited NBA experience.

Yeah I want our new guys to get much PT this year as possible, I still think we still need one more ligit vet to tie our starters and new guys together. You know like an ace in the hole when a newby falters....just being a concerned Piston fan now instead of in March:sssh:

A day after losing center Mikki Moore to free agency, the New Jersey Nets reached an agreement in principal with former All Star Jamaal Magloire on Saturday. Magloire averaged 6.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 81 games last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. An All-Star in 2004, Magloire has career averages of 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in 506 games.

and I already posted this in another thread:

Mo Williams will be returning to the Milwaukee Bucks after agreeing in principle to a six-year, $52 million contract, ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan has learned. The breakthrough in negotiations came when the Bucks increased their original offer as Williams was being heavily courted by the Miami Heat. Williams will have a player opt-out clause after the fourth and fifth year of the deal, which has an average annual salary of $8.67 million.

Hell, thats an upgrade for New Jersey. Magloire might finally have his career rejuvenated playing with J. Kidd.
