Agree...Pistons don't need to select any one under 6'7 unless his name Ricky Rubio

“Mike Curry is a great guy, a great coach, but he just needs guys that are going to be committed to winning.”

This kid sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders.

    And 2 out of 3 ain't bad...

I think the Pistons are thinking of playing him at the 3 if that eases anyone's guard-phobia.

I don't care if he's Ricky Rubio either.

Too much hype to be true.

Sorry don't want him for this this and we need another Forward/Center. Not guards.

We have a lot of guards. Just no point guards.

If he's available take him. Or trade up.

If they do pick him I hope he can't shoot, pass or dribble so he'll fit in.

Long gone before the Pistons pick. There are some big men sleepers. A very good point that we must keep in mind: Big men need more time to develop. It all depends on your system and how the organization begins to extend it learning capabilities.

    Better to send them overseas.

    Some thoughts about the summer:
    • From an administrative end, the organization is very weak in developing young players and this draft is weak. Add a weak coach and you can see forthcoming options.
    • JD has a calculating eye of plugging holes in a team and there are plenty of holes in this team.
    • JD started out and will continue to develop his main focus: Buying his way to stay out of the lottery. Good chance he trades away the first round pick in order for more cap room.
    • LA won't let Ariza go, so you can take a long look at Odom. Good chance of Boozer getting a S/T since Utah has been obvious in wanting him gone.
    • Backup phone call to Hammond. Villanueva (no defense, but hey, someone has to score points at the 4-5 positions) and pick up Ridnour (6.5 mil, expiring) for a second rounder since he can run the Point, which could be problem area next year.
    • Expect Sheed, Tay and Amir to be involved with trades. Herrmann might be going to Spain and this will free up 2 mil. Should be a changed ball club over the summer.
    • Big question: who do you get at the 5 position? Gortat and Brown (if he stays) could share. With enough speed on the club you could mix you way out of a true center (the current tradeable crop are too old, damaged goods and costly).
