How innovative would you be to make the Lions better. Multi. choice.
I would fire Millen and replace him with... anyone else. Then I would try to get the meanest coach I could find. Mike Ditka or some other cat to put a little fear into the young, spoiled, first round picks that we are stuck with. Maybe a tough coach could whip those fools into shape.
Good start Linwood. Is that Linwood and Grand Blvd?
Real close. Linwood and Chicago.
Warts, did you see what Broncos did near the goal line yesterday against the Chiefs? They moved Plummer out to WR and had some big kid take the snap. It fooled the Chiefs for a TD run!
I would trade Joey for best a run stopping LB.
Trade one of our overrated WRs for a solid "O" lineman
Acquire the best "O" lineman available thru Free agency (can you tell where I think the problem is?)
Draft Young from Texas (very mobile QB who is a solid passer)
Hire a coach with a winning track record in the NFL (this could be expensive)... someone that is creative and demanding.
Tell Millen to take a hike.
Good plan, Mercury! You're hired.
agreed when can you start
First off you need to releave the Ford's of their ownership privledges because they have abused them long enough.Fire Millen and hire someone with experience at GM/President because he hasn't even learned on the job the last 5 years.
Get a Ditka/Coughlin/Tuna type coach to make this talent we do have produce.Noone is going to take Chucky or Joey in a trade because they know we will release em so cut our losses.Build O-Line top priority.
Keep Jeffy Garcia he is on the verge of a breakout performance soon.If he doesn't we can put Bly in at QB.
Drastic moves are needed
First and foremost fire Millen. His reign of ineptness needs to be stopped before the Super Bowl and a new lion GM/president installed to host and represent the Lions Organization at the festivities.
Next see if they can draft the entire USC Trojan offensive line or trade up to get Reggie Bush if he decides to forego his senior year. Trade Joey and one of the Williams boys.
Finally, if %%%% Jauron wants finish 8-8 on a winning note, book the "love" Cruise that the Vikings went on. They have won five straight since that infamous weekend of live sex, chronic, and hip hop.
I agree, get a mean screaming his head off, putting the fear of god into all of his players coach.
I'd also give up on the west coast offense, and taylor my offense to the players that I have, instead of the other way around, which is what they seem to be trying to do.
Get a coach, a mean no frills mother, and stick woth him. Stick with him, win or lose, for more than a few years. Take Millen out of the locker room, and out of the coaches room, and out of the loop. Call the Patriots and try to buy any member of their front office we can.
I would fire MM, hire a mean coach as well. I would then draft Max Jean-Gilles, (UGA) with my first round pick. With my second round pick I would draft Greg Blue (UGA) with my 3rd round pick I would draft DJ Shockley (UGA) and in the 4th round I would take Minter (UGA)....you get my drift?
Bring back Wayne Fontes. And hire Scott Mitchell as the QB coach.
Merc, BigD, Dre and TaS
If we did get Young he would have to start winning right off, no babying. Which means he is on IR 8 games in. Good ideas.
...Since Millen and the Fords aint going anywhere. I say give MM one more major F'up before I start fixing up the Guiotine. He axed Mooch and that was a major correction. My guess is Mooch made it easy--with his mouth?!!
...If they win, I'll rent the boat.
...I think Wayno could bring some serious love back to the fans. In a minor role. I don't know about Mitchell. Does Berry want to be a RB coach?
...anybody know about these UGA guys?
yah we get it, you're a huge georgia fan
Actually, he must HATE Georgia. Why else would you send talented players to the Lions?
hah good point.
to make the lions better, bill davidson should buy the team. he's got the midas touch.
The only effective way to improve the Lions' record is to make the Indianapolis Colts wear Lions jerseys.
What a matchup!
ESPN has Lions at Lambeau tonight. Will anyone be watching?
Being here in Detroit, I'm really torn. Do I watch the league-leading Pistons play one of the best of the west?...or do I watch the kitties sniff the bottom of the barrel again hoping for a win?
Poor Fav-rah. I'm sure he didn't want to go out like this.
