Also silly....Pacific Northwesterners typically only care about local products (whether they're good or not is irrelevant to them. Proximity > Quality in the PNW)... Singler actually got ridiculously loud cheers during the pre-game introductions. Hill also obliged the locals by giving this avg local product 40 MINUTES. The Portland Tribune writes about Singler being in Detroit like a jail sentence as though DET should be a good team if Singler is going to have to be stuck there...HA! As though, Singler doesn't bear any responsibility for being good. It's up to DET to not suck for Singler. I actually had a guy turn around to tell me, "The only thing good about Detroit is Rodney Stuckey...he went to Eastern Washington....that's where I went." ...I ended the conversation there.
Maybe the local media will encourage the Blazers to trade either Batum or Hixson to the Pistons for both Singler, Stuckey and a draft pick.....
