Man. He made a million and one mistakes with the Raptors and the Knicks. But man. He was great in the draft. And maybe he's learned some important lessons? He just still seems so intelligent with regards to the game, the modern game too. And I think he'd want to build the exact kind of team I'd want to see here (the kind Joe used to want to build). If you got him a great analytics guy (I've heard that the one already in place here is sound). If you got him a great cap/trade execution guy. If you got him a great lead scout. Could it work? It'd definitely excite the fan-base. Bill Laimbeer as his HC? Hell. I was even thinking that'd be a good idea too. He'd for sure give us the kind of attitude we'd like to see on the court. With some exceptional tactical and positional assistants ('Sheed, Chauncey...perhaps a Battier, if he retires?). Could that work? Thoughts?
