    Where did you pull that from mate?? Those rankings are horrible! :lol:

    Phoenix 18, Lakers 26, Sacto 17 just to name a few. Looks like he got bored after 10 and 'tanked' the rest of the article. Maybe we should do a PF.com power rankings. Everyone submit their rankings and average it out. Would be 100x better than a lot of rankings out there.

    That's a great idea. Let me think of how we would go about that. I wonder if forum has any tools like that.

    So, here's what I am going to do. I will gather data from the rankings on the web and compile it together to produce average rankings. If anyone on the forum wants to contribute their rankings, I will incorporate their rankings as well and if we have several from forum, I will publish PistonsForum's own power rankings. I will only ask that if you do submit rankings, be serious about it as it does take time to work with all the data.

    Good start....just need to add one more column to show the numerical number so I am not counting trying to determine if the Pistons are 17th or 18th...:graduate:

    We are getting underestimated.

    The market does not fully appreciate big ball yet.

    The Power Rankings have us at #9 in the Eastern Conference...that is, on the outside looking in come playoff time....or, back to the lottery!

    Doesn't our pick go to Charlotte if it is outside of top 8?

    Yes.

    ...but it won't matter cuz we're gonna wreck shop in the playoffs and Joe's gonna make a deadline deal that gets rid of one or both of our lousy expiring contract dudes while netting us a replacement 2014 1st round pick.
    :stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot::stirthepot:
    Charlotte will pick #8.
    The Pistons will have the Lakers pick at #5 after we send 'em 16 million dollars worth of cap-clearing StuckeyNueva that they can use to snag a free-agent to run with Kobe.

    L.A. needs a lotto pick like they need a hole in the head.

    My thoughts exactly. We're at least a top 15 team in the East.

    Thank you for doing this, Mikhail. It would also be interesting to have standard deviation and range columns so we could see who people disagree about the most.

    I can put more information in there. I would also love to see forum members providing their own rankings. If they don't want their names made public, they could just PM me their rankings and I would publish them without a name attached.

    Here's this week's update. Since it is before the season's beginning, they are hard to come by, so I may have to wait a little before my next update.

    Mikhail, could you do some hypothesis testing, some confidence intervals, and perhaps add a few pie charts?
