That pie chart format is very clever IMO.

It's amazing that the 3rd worst team has a less than 50% chance of getting a top 3 pick.

And even the worst team has about a 1 in 3 chance of falling outside the top 3.

    Pretty good system.

By the way, if Detroit wins the lottery, does Dumars have to get put on leave until the pick is made?

The point is all you need is 1 ball. It happened before, right.
We have chances at 1-7 and 1-14 worse case.

I actually think worst case scenario is the #10 pick, which would occur if 3 teams behind us all won the lottery 1-3 spots and pushed everyone else back. The gray category on the charts could be refined further, but they didn't feel the need.

In case anyone gives a whoop, the Chicago Pre-Draft Camp is on ESPNU right now. I've never seen that before. It's pretty weird watching it - I can't get a lot good info from it, aside, I suppose from who looks like a fluid athlete.

Are you crazy, why would the Pistons spend the $$ on plane tickets and hotels when you can just watch on TV? They're already paying for cable and this would be like paying twice.

Cable, are YOU crazy. Joe can just watch this on the grainy pictures on channelsurfing.net. Why pay the cable bill?

Jeesh. Does anyone think around here?

    • With that being said, don't lock in Ohio State's Evan Turner at No. 2 if and when the Sixers get a chance to work him out. Philadelphia gets an interview with Cousins on Friday. Cousins already interviewed with Washington, New Jersey, Minnesota, Golden State, Sacramento and Detroit. But don't expect him to work out for the top seven teams. He's probably going to work out for four max. Detroit is a team that could try to trade up into the top four to get a big like Cousins or Georgia Tech's Derrick Favors.

That's from the ESPN draft blog. That does make me wonder - and I suppose this makes way too much sense, but we've got 4 SF's on this team - although I like Daye a SG -- why on earth wouldn't we trade JJ, Daye, Summers or Tay in the right package to move up and grab the big man of our dreams? If Cousins checks out mentally and maturity wise, and he's clearly the #1 big man on our board, we pretty much have to trade up for him and grab him don't we?

I don't want to trade any of our rookies - I'd much rather trade Tay. I think I'd be a bit sick if we traded Daye since I think he's got great upside. But really, we've got such redundant talent on this roster and we have such a huge need at center, that I think we'd have to do that IF we rated Cousins or Favors that highly.

Which team drafting 2, 3 or 4 would turn down one of our SF's or rookies for a swap of #1's.

Not necessarily - especially if you're out of minutes that month.

I think Joe could just walk over to the public library, log onto our forum from a free computer and connection, read what we've written here - which, after all, includes a lot of links to insider and our own opinions and just make a choice that way. Very cheap, and we know everything.
