Stephen Jackson told the Indianapolis Star: "Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I respect Reggie too much to degrade his statement, but I don't agree with it. We're the best team in the league. We know it."

Former Pacer Reggie Miller, who retired after last season, has angered some of his old teammates with some of his commentary on TNT.
He picked the Pistons to win the East, saying, "Until Indiana shows me they've solved their chemistry problems, you have to go with a team that doesn't argue, that gets the job done at the end of the day. Any little thing can set Indiana off."
Naturally, that got the blood flowing in Indiana.

I don't know which team to hate more ...Pacers or Heat. I give Reggie credit for speaking the truth.

    Reggie

Reggie said multiple times last night that the Heat/Pacer game was a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals. I guess he is picking everybody.

I give Reggie a lot of credit. He could have been a homer and been like Pacers will squash everyone but the reality is they do have chemistry problems and a lot of the palyers are injury prone.

The Heat are MUCH easier to hate, imo.

Fatoine Walker, Shaq, Alonzo Mourning, Stan Van Jeremy....all so hateable.

And that is the question. I was rooting for the Heat yesterday only because Indy is in the Central, but I didn't like doing it

Indiana is the easiest to hate, all I've got to say is ron artest. reggie is right the pistons will win the east again. the only reason i had some respect for indy was because of reggie now that he's gone though...

    Poster for the locker room:

Stephen Jackson told an NBATV reporter that the "The Pistons were done, they already had their run"

They need to play this short blurb before every game.

I am with you Micro all the way on this one. At lease D. Wade gave the Pistons Props and recognizes that we are the ones to beat in the East.

    Artest

I am NO Artest fan, but dang, that guy can play. He is jacked and is going to need to be shackled come playoff time. Prince will bounce off of him, so who do we use to guard him?

My memory of the playoffs two years ago seems to be different from a lot of other people's. I remember Artest being frustrated by Tay's length, getting several shots blocked and drawing a ton of charging fouls before finally getting fed up and giving Rip the little forearm shot.

I actually like Indy quite a bit more than Miami. Sure they hate us, but they've put in their years and earned the right. No bandwagon fans there. Meanwhile the Heat got Shaq and suddenly all sorts of newbies decided they were God's gift to basketball.
