I don't think Sessions is a good fit for our roster for the reasons above

So you're saying there is no reason not to bring him aboard?

Yep. Brandon has already earned that starting gig. We all know the kid works extremely hard - Will Bynum being an awful PG shouldn't be a reason to bring some other guy who hasn't earned anything within this team in to start just because one doesn't like his backup. That's foolish in the extreme.

I believe we all should be in favor of grooming ourselves.

Its not foolish if you don't think he is going to make it. I am not sure yet about Brandon but it is worth another year to find out. A full year at normal pace with pre-season and all that. Lets see what he has.

He shot 38% from beyond the arc as a rookie who only played 1 year of college ball. Brandon will NEVER pass the eye test with me, I just don't like how his game looks, but the kid can play.

There is always a Ramon Sessions available in free agency, no need to buy this one.

    Totally agree!

I'm really stoked to see Brandon Knight after a full summer league and training camp under his belt. The kid is a student of the game and the extra "study time" should do him some more good compared to most other players.
I read that he put on 10 pound of muscle since the season ended.

Last year he did not have a summer league or a tranning camp or a pre-season. ist 20 or so games were wasted due to Frank having to reshape the team. I think he should get at least one full season to see what he has, we will see.

OK I will recant my original comments regarding giving a looksey at Sessions. I only thought Joe needed to look at him because the writer made some good points about our lack of guard play behind Knight and Stuckey, >> including Will Don't mistake me for my cousin Andrew Bynum.

Knight looked good today passing the rock to a bunch a rooks.....his assists will definitely go up as court awareness improves and he actually passing to veterans. he FT shooting wasn't as bad as Drummonds, but it was the first day of camp and he has time to work on it.

I was really impressed with the Piston rookie Kim English who hit several jumpers form the outside.
