Rasheed Wallace to Cleveland? - Full-Court Press
Well that article sorta debunks it.
I already mentioned, fans need to understand it's not what they think a player is worth or what is fair.
It is about who can pay them, and how much competition there is for that player. The market for free agents is very narrow this offseason. Some bigger names but only a handful of teams that can add them.
I hope Sheed realizes that Lebron won't be there for the 10/11 season. Of course, for an extra $10M the last season of his career he probably won't care.
If this goes through though, it would be hilarious to watch Cavs practices. We all know how much Sheed loves Flopper Bob. Lord knows what he can do to him during scrimmages where there are no refs. It would be Varejao's most banged up season.
He'll probably spend his last season saving the NBA game by teaching that jackass proper methods of defense that don't involve falling down.
So you're saying that Varajao will be falling all over Sheed to learn defensive skills.
How likely do you think Rasheed is to allow that to happen at any juncture?
Wally Szczerbiak is a free agent and they're gonna need a 3-point shooter.
Good. Let him destroy their playoff run mid-stream. I can already see him and Brown ( coaches name? ) not getting along.
Actually, I think it would be a good fit seeing as LaBron will carry the team so Sheed will only be expected to chip in the occasional block, rebound, 3, etc.... He won't have to take the responsiblity of leading the team on his own which is something he's never been a fan of anyways. He can underachieve while having the occasional HUGE game (you know....16 pts, 9 boards).
DET & CLE are going to do a dual sign and trade. Wally Z is going to be the new SF here.
Rasheed is a better fit in Orlando. It doesn't look like they really have true PF. Plus sheed likes to pull those threes out.
Sheed would help them tremendously. That being said, i chose to believe this article is BS and continue to hold onto the notion that Sheed would never sign with that team.
I rather have him go to Orlando.
If I have to see Lebron taking pictures with Sheed with Ben Wallace.....
^ He might as well have fun his last year there...
If Sheed goes to the Cavs, Ben will not retire.
It would seem like they are trying to build the old pistons team, Rock Financial and all. They need a new announcer and a new photographer.
If you read the article it talks about all the issues that would prevent this.
Only way would be a sign/trade. I don't know if it would be possible for a Sheed/Verajio trade or even why the Cavs would do this.
If we could maybe get Verajio and that Polish center ( whatever his name is ) then maybe it could work out. But the Cavs would be left with a very old front line.
...So were gonna swap Power Forwards with the Cavs huh.
Wally will thrive at the 4-spot under Curry.
Bobby Vinton? He's kind of short but he could sing the national anthem before games...
Separate names with a comma.
