himat I like your trade with Sacramento but don't think we need to swap Davis for Kenny Thomas.

Does it work with SAR & Martin for Sheed straight up? There is your point scoring and rebounding....

Nope. If it did though I would like to steal Kenny Thomas because I think Sheed alone is better than a slowing down Shareef and Kevin Martin.

Found another one! This trade I'd do in a heartbeat unlike the other ones I posted. Although I don't think Atlanta would do it:ohwell:.

That's pretty interesting. Houston would benefit for sure, but I bet they would rather make a run at BBen (if they are willing to blow away the salary cap). Possibly the Pistons benefit too. I have been impressed with Head in limited exposure.

If that were to be the only change made, assuming BBen resigns, would you still pull the trigger?

I don't think that would be an upgrade, but it would give us more youth. Everyone wants to rip Chauncey's head off right now though so I think some people might pull it off. Not me though I think the problem is Chauncey not having a good backup for him that always plays.

dba if you can find a trade that gets us a backup pg without giving up too much post it. I found one that could get us a great backup for Ben, but Atlanta would probably not be willing to pull it off. The trade is is on the 23rd post.

Its a 3 team deal that I think has less than 1% chance to fall through in real life. More than half these trades though won't have a chance to fall through so her's the id: 3158962.

Got another one. I thought J.R. Smith was going to do great this season for new Orleans, but he played poorly and a lot less. So just maybe he could get traded.

By my numbers, the best backup points out there are below. The number following the name is the percent above the average league point guard for scoring, assists, assist/turnover ratio per minute played. For comparison, CB and Nash are +64 and +63 respectively.

Duhon +16/Chicago – staight up for Dale Davis (3159589)
Young, pure PG, less scoring, doesn’t turn it over, rebounds. Clears a logjam for Chicago and gives them a good big man who can defend and rebound.

Boykins +20/Denver – straight up for Dale Davis (3159195)
More of a scorer than distributor, but doesn’t turn it over. Gives Denver a solid big if Nene can’t come back or Martin continues to self destruct.

Fisher +3/GSW – for DD and Evans (3159198)
Not exactly sure why GSW would, but Detroit gets good scoring and rebounding. Maybe not enough assists.

Alston +14/Houston – other trades above get him here.
Pure point, doesn’t shoot all that well.

Watson +2/Seattle – for DD and Evans (3159204)
Decent assist man, but a bit turnover prone.

Daniels +5/Washington - for DD and Evans (3159210)
Decent assist to turnover ratio, but not very strong.

    Free agents –
    Atkins -5
    Claxton +9

Now of course, this assumes that Dale Davis is the best thing since sliced bread...

No offense but I do not like any of these deals. Not even my own. Lets hope Ben is reasonable and that we can get a decent pick out of Orlando next summer. Perhaps even sign our future point if the Orlando pick is decent.

I only like one of the trades I proposed. We'd get Zaza Pachulia out of it.

We'd get nick collison out of this. He's a very good rebounder.

I kind of agree. Boykins can maybe change the game when he comes in and that we need, but I really don't like 5'5" guards. I spent too many years in Washington with Michael Adams and Muggsy Bogues.

Duhan is an impressive player, but I think of him as more in the "won't hurt you" rather than the "change the game" mode.

I've always kind of liked Damon Stoudamire, but talk of him or of Bonzi, coming in to play with Sheed is concerning. That group seemed to be always be in trouble in Detroit and we don't need the Sheed in trouble with the law coming back.

I have no idea how to cut and paste on this board. Do you have to be a moderator or something like that? As for the Paul Pierce trade we might have an even deadlier starting 5, but then there won't even be a 6 man rotation anymore:laugh:.
