with the Boston Celtics! ESPN - Miller says he's pondering comeback with Celtics - NBA
Wow, it'll be just like the '04 Lakers!
Yeah, and if we can just bring back LB we can humiliate them on our way to the title.
Nobody on the '04 Lakers was 42. (I don't think.) Of course, I do miss calling Reggie the most over-rated player in the NBA. If he came back I'd have a few more opportunities.
Malone turned 41 a month after the Championship. Reggie Miller is a little less than 2 years younger than Karl.
Boston's getting desperate for depth.
One advantage to Reggie playing for the Celtics is that it would be easy to hate the Celtics again. They might even want to add another couple of old geezers who never got a ring.Plus it would really irritate a lot of Pacer fans. I think Reggie deserves some acclimades if he can come back and play at the NBA level. So what other ringless geezers should the Celt's add to their roster?
According rumours, Ainge and Doc have contacted the following former players looking for rings Karl Malone Patrick Ewing Doug Christie any more you can add to list, let Doc know
How about Stockton?
Don't forget about Sir Charles. I guess he's too old and too fat. Sir Cumference
You just know that Pippen in salivating at the idea of drawing an NBA salary again...
I think Pip just wants to have more rings than Jordan and Horry.. Maybe Dyess will demand a trade to the C's if thinks their chances are better
I think adding Pippen and Doug and Jackie Christie would make this one of the most despicable teams of all time.
Here's a good list: Other possible additions for the Celtics - Boston.com
Its getting pretty bad for them trying to find other players. I think they only have 9 or so signed and are already 6 mil into lux tax
I voted for Spud Webb
To me I think adding both Spud Webb and Patrick Ewing would work. Spud would have to agree to participate in the Slam Dunk contest.
Next thing you know Laimbeer will be calling Cheryl and ask her if she wants to one up her brother one more time. In that year Reggie was playing for UCLA, so even though they were both playing in college at the same time SI voted her the better basketball player. Nothing like having your big sister kick your butt. LOL It is generally known that when they were growing up Reggie could never beat her one on one. (She is 20 months older than him) ESPN - Legends in their own time - Women's College Basketball Reggie Miller - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is funny. Truehoop posted a link to some comments Reggie made in 2003 about how he didn't want to be like Malone or Payton and sign with a team just to get a ring: ESPN - TrueHoop
