Woohoo! Thanks for the post Mikhail. I am certain Joe would not have gone for him, and indeed, if he had, Boozer would not have "opted back in". Nevertheless, that's one dodgy FA that will not be coming to Detroit.

So glad to see that. While I don't doubt Kander could take care of the physical side of things, theres nothing he could do for the character aspect.

If Okur also opts in, then Millsap becomes a possibility for us at a decent price.

well Boozer not opting out doesnt meen he wont be here for sure yet...thier was some talk that maybe he stays with Jazz and they trade him to Det for someone like Rip or Tay and the Pistons still have the ability to sign 2 good FA's.

I don't think Joe was actively pursuing him anyway.

This could make sense only if he agreed to extend. But his asking price is ridiculously high, so I really doubt that it is doable unless he comes back down to earth.

Sweet, now Joe HAS TO go via trades. Unless Charlie V is the answer.

He gets $12 mill for staying with the jazz next season and if he plays in 80 games and avergages 20-10, he could become more valuable next season to a team that is saving their cash for Bosh, Wade or James and a couple of them decide to stay put with their current teams. Then Booz becomes one of the few who is ready to move and some team will probably pay him $11-12m per year because he is the only one left.

It's been speculated that Boozer's divorce had alot to do with this decision. If he had gotten a new contract he wouldn't have to split that w/ his wife since the papers have already been processed. His current one he has to split.

    Rumour is they are reconciling.

Jazz will excersize a S/T. This is good news. Tay should give us some quality leverage.

You have to know when to light-the-match as the spotlight searches in a darken arena.

Next years economy will be worse. Attendance down and cap down.

His agent should set him straight: take less and have some longevity security. You will need it.
