As a PG, I don't believe I am. I have no problem with him playing a SG, but he's supposed to be the PG. Stuckey doesn't have LB to drill the PG game into him like Billups did, so he's already at a disadvantage. Not only that, Billups picked it up and changed his game considerably to be a more complete PG. Now, granted once LB was gone, that resulted in Billups only being aggressive in the 2nd half of ball games, but he did make the necessary changes to help drive this team to 2 Finals appearances. All we should be looking for is this team to be competitive and we aren't even seeing that from this team. PG play is important to having a strong team and Stuckey is not adjusting his game. He's just attempting to do more of the same. I think it's worth noting. The reason it irks me is because he's making this statement as if he's Isiah Thomas and head shoulders better than everyone else via his performance almost as if everyone else is to blame and they are holding him back.

    Pistons wins = 11
    Nuggets wins = 23

So to be fair, it is actually 47.8%

    Stuckey 3-point % = .189
    Billups 3-point % = .400

    That works out to 47.3%

I've tried 10 other measurements, and they all work out to 47.x%.

I would hope that Stuckey would be looking for ways to improve the offense... Don't see a problem suggesting that the team runs more (starting with himself).

I guess some people read this as arrogance or him blaming others or an act of selfishness, but I just don't see that at all in what he said. Did you guys actually read the entire article? Maybe it sounds like he is leading the charge on his own, but I don't think that is entirely true. He is just voicing the message, since the veterans like Hamilton and Prince simply refuse to lead this team.

I'll post some more of what was said in the article...

If Stuckey is playing the point does he really need to come out and say they're going to run? Couldn't he just push the ball up the floor?

He could even do something crazy like trying to get a defensive rebound with all his physical gifts and then turning and dribbling up court.

There is no way on God's green earth that Allen Iverson could ever in a million trillion years on any level in any sphere in any universe remotely associated with the game of basketball be described as worthless.

    Case closed.

LOL @ AI being worthless. Come come now. Let me start a new one, George Gervin was worthless. He never did anything but win scoring championships.

This is all irrelevant. I think the Pistons should run more. This idea that Pistons basketball is slow, grind it out basketball is idiotic. You play to the strength of your players. The strength of this team is not defense or rebounding. Run, score points (since thats all our recent FA acquisitions can do), and entertain fans. Because right now, no one is going to watch crappy basketball on a team that used to be good.

Wow guys...take it easy. It wasn't an assessment of AI's entire career. Just a description of what he turned out to be for DET in return for Billups.
