This is an excellent point. If you're trying to unload Murray and/or Mohammed, it really helps your chances when both guys come to camp in excellent shape ready to make actual contributions to the team.

Rodney Stuckey Will Be An All Star

I can see it in his game he will make the pistons trade rip in about two years. He will be an all star type player in about three years

Worn Rodney Stuckey jersey for sale.

    Current bid is $200.00

There is probably no number on it. So for those who don't like him wearing #3 this is probably a once in lifetime chance to own an authentic NBA jersey worn by Hot Rod without Big Ben's number on it.

The guy will be back with vengeance. He'll be a solid member of the rotation by the end of the season.

Looks like the bidding closed at $350. I wonder if that guy will be glad he spent that much in about ten or twenty years.

Blaha said tonight that Hot Rod may not return until the middle of December worse case and the beginning of December best case.

4 - 6 weeks from tonight is the current estimate.

Let him take his time and make sure it completely heals. There will be enough time for him to get into the flow of things.

I think what happened with AJ is that he tried to come back too soon. He never should have played in the last pre-season game. As Flip said he had reduced strength in his bad ankle/leg.

I think he pushed himself too hard wanting to come back sooner than he should have thereby aggravating the Achilles.

You are correct. Better to safe than sorry, but Hot Rod's injury to his left hand is not as big a problem if he comes back a little too soon as long as the bones are sufficiently healed. With AJ's ankle injury if you play before it is fully healed and the necessary muscle strength in the leg area is not rebuilt you can mess up too many other parts of your ankle/leg and even your back, which is not the case with a hand injury.

sounds like stuckey could play now if he had to, but they won't chance it. let him miss the first 10 games since 8 of them are on the road, and he can then get acclimated and comfortable at home where he's played much better.

I'm thinking it's a couple of weeks before he can get back on the court and practice and do some drills and then maybe another 2-3 weeks before he can actually play in the game.

One thing I learned is that breaks are usually better than severe sprains.

Once they heal, you're good to go... with the exception of Charles Rogers.

That is I believe because the injury was to the bone and not to soft tissue, tendons, muscles, etc, which sprains are.

I read somewhere he does have a plate in there and at least one screw.

I actually crushed by right tibia and at the same time broke my right fibia in a snowmobile accident some 25 years ago. The tibia had about 1" or more of missing bone after the accident. I had seven operations on that leg including two bone grafts.

However there are no plates, pins or screws in my leg, just the bone grafts. I walk fine except for swelling when I walk over 4 miles at a time.

This was done in 1981 or 82 as I recall. A pretty amazing doctor did the work. Even today someone who has the kind of injury I had would probably have a plate and or screws or pins inserted in their leg.

The down side is, is that I don't get to set off the machine every time I go to get on a plane, which would be cool.

Expect teams to force him left for a while when he returns.
